No flowers are blooming in the middle of August so I've done 2-hour course in an hour. You should come I'm flowering season. Free parking spots are across the bridge. Better go hiking boots. It was nice just for walking though.

Good hill to climb. Took us about 30 minutes to reach the observation deck. From the deck you can see all of Asahikawa City. Great for beginners and those who are interested in Ainu history.

旭川市・・・ではなくてお隣鷹栖町にある自然一杯の野草園です。 どうしてもここは旭川市に思えてしまう。 結構旭川市と鷹栖町のギリギリ境界領域にある公園ですからね。 ここで栽培・・・と言うか殆どが自然そのままで置いてある野草園なのですが、北海道内ならそれ程目新しい種類の木々、草花はありません。 でも只でさえ夏は超絶暑い旭川市にお住まいの方は、気晴らしに歩くだけでも気持ちが良いと思いますよ。 私が行ったこの日は旭川市の気温が実に35度超の激猛暑日‼️ しかもツーリングでの訪問で、バイクで熱風を浴び続けてグロッキー状態になっていましたが、そんな中ここは結構木々に覆われて涼しいんですよね。 休憩がてらここを散策して楽しんでいましたよ。 さて、目新しい植物はないと先程言いましたが、でも種類は豊富。 幟に今朝ドラで話題の万太郎こと牧野富太郎氏のPR盛り沢山で、もし牧野博士がここを訪問されたら、ずっと何時間も入り浸っているだろうなと色々想像してしまいましたよ。 この園内は体力に合わせて30分コース、1時間コース、３時間コースと散策路が設置されていますが、体力に自信があって時間もおありの方は是非３時間コースを歩きましょう！！
