Funabori Tower isn't usually listed as a major attraction in Tokyo, so I can see this place as a hidden gem. There's a little bit of everything here; a couple of restaurants inside, a book shop, a small movie theater, etc. Going up to the observation deck is free and the view, especially at sunset, is impressive. On the 7th floor, near the base of the tower, is a nice cafe. Compared to other famous towers in the area, Funabori Tower Hall is a great option for people like me who don't want to get caught in huge crowds but still want to enjoy a great view of Tokyo at sunset.

Read moreAwesome view tower with FREE entrance! Not only that, but also when I went in, the lady noticed my tripod and asked me if I would like to use the "private" area. First I was confused, but basically, there are 2 Floors at the top of the tower.
Highest floor is for everybody, one floor beneath is exact the same area, but when I went there, I was ALONE! I could set up my cameras anywhere, use the tripods, leave my stuff in a corner, absolutely AWESOME. Especially because I could hear from upstairs coming the noise of jumping kids, lots of people talking (and probably leaving marks all over the windows).

Most importantly the entrance fee is free for Funabori tower !
If you pass by there you should go check this place out !
There are not many shops inside but there is a coffee shop on the 1st floor and a restaurant on the 7th floor, also there is a movie theater inside the hall too.
