Tsurunoyu — Local services in Tokyo

What I liked: not far from Funabori station, local, shower and actual spa water were all very hot. This is a very local spot with mostly customers from the area. However, I was really uncomfortable with the fact that some of the women just didn't shower thoroughly before going in, and there were people who went in with their own towels, and washed their underwear at the shower area. I know this is not the owner's fault but if as a tourist I can follow the rules, why can't they? Also, there's no water dispenser inside the changing rooms, only vending machines, and I think the changing area can use another bench so people won't take up all that space while changing. Hair dryer is 20 yen per use. I did notice that the female owner worked hard to keep the place clean, but I think I'll try another sento in the area if...

This is a small but nice, but cosy and well-kept, tidy onsen with kuro-yu – black water. Even the cold bath is black! The small rotemburo is coated with stone slabs. There's a sauna and, as far as I can remember, a denki-buro (electric bath), but as I don't appreciate this procedure, I am not quite sure, I didn't use it anyway. The black water seemed kind of diluted a bit (colored like weak ref tea), but still...
