Yunomaru Ski Area — Attraction in Tomi

The ski slopes may be excellent, but I wouldn't say I like the hospitality of this area. There are a few parking lots, but some require a long walk, and there's no information about them. The ski area is divided into two areas, but one site has only one lift. And, of course, there's no mention of that. If you rent a ski, you must climb a narrow and steep slope with your rented equipment. There are restaurants in the ski area, but they only have healthy food, mostly catered to students and young guys. They have ramen, curry, and katsu-don - all high-calorie and unhealthy.

If you plan to visit this region, I would recommend Takamine Mountain or Palcall...

We were supposed to go to Karuizawa Snow Resort but they were still closed so we found this place on Google Map and so glad we decided to come here. An hour drive from Karuizawa on mountain roads which were relatively easy with snow wheels. There was plenty of snow today and the slopes were good for beginners. From conclusion first- nice slopes, pair lifts, boots and board/ski rentals, but quite rude, unhelpful staff.

The equipment is overall in fairly good condition. The boots are tie up and snowboards have plenty of life left in them.

Have been a few times and have had a good experience each time, outside of the typically rude staff. Honestly can’t complain for the price.
