Roadside Rest Area "Aputa” — Attraction in Toyako

Situated right at the coast, the rest stop boasts amazing views. It’s also known for its uni/sea urchin bento. There is no English menu, just point at pictures. The little shop also sells local seafood produce. The dining area is only for those who opt to have their food there, I highly recommend stopping here for a snack or small lunch to soak in the view from their dining room. Free flow tea and water available from their dispenser. Help to clear your plates by bringing your tray to the collection shelves. ２００５年(平成１７年)８月に９１番目に登録、１０月に開駅の道の駅だ。駐車場🅿️🚗は、少ないが普通車５１台，大型は３台程度である。 この位置は、旧虻田町で現在は洞爺湖町となっている。 国道３７号線沿いにあり、交通量も多いが、便利が良く、高台なのか右下には虻田漁港と、内浦湾が一望できる、パノラマが広がっている。 特にレストランからの展望はお薦めだ。今回はこの展望できるコーナーは入りは不可であった。 建物も小さめだが、番屋をイメージさせるレトロ風な建築である。国道との間から、後方にかけてはゴルフ場も見える。 施設内は、物産直売コーナーや、アイスクリーム🍦🍨の販売コーナー、レストランもある。 レストランの提供メニューは何れも新鮮で美味しいと言われてるのだ✌️。 私のお薦めは、１０月からの季節限定で、テイクアウトのみの「あぷたのまぜごはん」３５０円が販売されている。地元産のゴボウ、ニンジン、ホタテの稚貝が入っていてあっさり味の混ぜご飯である。これが美味しい👌。 もう１つは珍しいのもあるが「ぐる巻きソーセージ」の４００円である。蚊取り線香みたいな形で、もちろんテイクアウトもOK...
