まだ満開ではありませんでしたが、木によって綺麗に咲いているのもあり、たくさんの人がいました。保全会の方が、各入口にいて、200円の協力金の徴収をされていました。 保全のためには、必要だと思いました。 週末なので、駐車場も警備員がいて満車のところもありました。早い時間が空いていると思います。

小貝川の支流である小宅川右岸の丘陵平坦面および南緩斜面上に造られた総数35基、前方後円墳6基、円墳29基（内11基は削平）からなる大規模な古墳群です。 古墳群は亀岡八幡宮から南西の青田地区までのび、眼下には小宅川の水田地帯、遠くには芳賀富士（太平山）、さらには八溝の山並が望めます。

早めの時間なら近くの駐車場に停められます。元々が古墳群で、となりに亀岡八幡宮という参道の立派な神社があり、そこに一面の菜の花と桜🌸 なんだか違う世界に迷い込んだような美しさでした。 ひときわ形が美しく、花の色の濃いさくらの下で、結婚式も出来るようで準備してました。
