Utsunomiya Museum of Art — Attraction in Utsunomiya

The museum is situated near a beautiful park. I’ve visited this museum several times to see special exhibitions....which have been absolutely wonderful, excellent and exciting. Their permanent collection is weak and boring. However, there are 2 René Magritte paintings🍏, which are my favorite, some beautiful Japanese photographs but that’s all, really. The good thing is... there’s never a crowd. Very few people, always. Anyway, the museum itself is grand and beautiful...beautiful Oya stone and super clean ✨Love the outdoor sculptures. Nice shop and restaurant. A peaceful quiet...

The art exhibited is amazing, I loved the temporary exhibition new born and the presentation of the permanent also seemed intersting enough. If you like art and are in the area i would definitly go! Only reducing one star since there are no signs in English and when I tried to use Google translate (on the signs!!! They saw and understood that I'm not taking pictures of any art) they told me...

世界で一番大好き💕な美術館です。いつもは下の駐車場に車をとめて、右手に広〜い原っぱ、左手には森を見て、気持ちの良い空気をお腹いっぱい吸いこみながらゆっくりと大谷石だたみの道を歩いて進みます。原っぱには、ある時は楽しそうに過ごす家族連れやカップルが思い思いに幸せな時間を過ごしています。かわいらしかったりカッコいいわんちゃんもいたりする日もあります。走り込みをしている学生さんがいた時もありました。どんぐりが落ちている日、雨で石畳みが滑りやすい日、可愛らしいお花がたっぷり咲いている日、大きなバッタにびっくりした日、季節ごとにいろんな発見があります。どんな日も右手奥の大きな黒いうさぎさんに「やあ。また会えましたね。まあまあ上質に進んでいるではないですか。」と褒めてもらえるような気がします。ココロに余裕のない日々の中、何とか午後だけでも時間ができたらここにやって来て、2〜３時間作品を見て過ごす事で満ち足りる気持ちになれます。午後だけでは企画展だけで時間が過ぎてしまいますが、一日時間を作った今回は、常設のマグリットの大家族にも挨拶することができました。この絵は、私に大切な事を思い出させてくれました。前に見た時よりも好きになりました。ぜひ一度は、皆さんに宇都宮美術館で見ていただきたいです。 レストランでフルーツサンドとローストビーフのランチをいただきました。良きお味でしたよ😋 さて、満ち足りて幸せ気分になった帰りに、原っぱで10年以上？20年以上？30年以上？やっていなかった逆立ちがご披露されました‼︎ うさぎさんに乗って遊んでいた幼い姉妹が面...
