竜ヶ埼灯台周辺の桜を愛でつつ遊歩道を下りているうちに、こちらの近くに出ました。能登キリコ祭りの際は観光客で大いに賑わうそうですが、常の時は訪れる人もまばらです。これといった見どころもなく、観光地としての評価は★二つなものの、手入れは行き届いていて、地元の方々には良い神社なのかなと思いました。

輪島港の西側の通りから中に入ったところにある神社です。朝の早い時期に訪れたのでひっそりと佇む感じが良かったです。明治初年に「輪島前天神社」から現社号に改称したそうで、本殿は輪島市の重要文化財に指定されてます。

輪島漁港の湾を見守るように鎮座する神社。輪島前の「前」は「崎」なのだろうけれど、御祭神は意外にも少彦名命、菅原道真公、伊弉冉尊、大山祇神と、どちらかと言えば山寄りの神様達。
