Maioka Park is located in between Totsuka station and Maioka Station . It has an ample parking space @ 300/2hours. It has many short hike routes up and down hill. It also has a tent stand space. Cyclers and pedestrain it's a good news that the cycle parking and entrance is free . As I live in the 1 hour walking distance I frequently go there with my two kids and wife. Picnic spot is available. Toilet and drinking water tap facilities available. Toilet is clean . No restaurant or convenience stores around , I highly suggest to carry some snacks or food and drinks. A day relaxing picnic with kids and playing kits is the best .

Last time I was there in mid December but still the maple color red was remaining which proves it's best to be there in November the pick time for leaves color change . But still I could capture few beautiful pictures of colored leaves and also the fallen leaves. Fallen leaves are called 落ち葉 ochiha in Japanese. It reminds me " nature sustains it's beauty even after falling " many things to learn from the...

Located in a quiet residential area, this park is rich in nature. Insects, birds, and squirrels can be seen. The park is covered with trees, so there is plenty of shade and it is very comfortable. The trail is about 4 km long, but it is more strenuous than you might imagine due to its many ups and downs. The paths are especially rough in the northern area, which is more like a hill or forest than a park, so it is difficult to walk unless you wear comfortable clothes. Also, there are no streetlights, so be careful when using the park at dusk. It took me exactly one hour to walk the entire circuit, but I felt a sense of accomplishment similar to that of hiking or climbing a mountain because the paths are steeper and nature is left untouched compared to most parks. The parking fee is 300 yen...

This is a very large park, you can enjoy many types of views and places to sit around. There's enough space to place a tent. Suitable for families with kids who want to play outside. Parking lot for cars and bicycles.
