ポンポン山公園は、ポンポン山のふもとから頂上までの南側斜面を整備して、平成14年4月に公園として開設したそうです。 ふもとの駐車場から坂道を歩いて行くと、一つ目の広場があります。 そこから階段を登ると二つ目の広場があり、あずま屋や水飲み場があります。 広場には特に遊具などは無く、ポンポン山に来た人の休憩所という感じでした。 すぐ隣には高負彦根神社があります。 神社の鳥居を潜り、裏手にまわるとポンポン山の頂上に着きます。 頂上では、巨岩の上から吉見丘陵の景色を楽しめます。
