Oyasu Gorge — Attraction in Yuzawa

Excellent autumn spot in Akita along with onsen area so you can hiking the gorge, see the thermal bursts and take in the colours of leaves. After that, you can go to the public onsen and enjoy a nice soak!

There are walking sticks provided to help with the hike. The key i would say is not to forgo the surroundings as the mountains behind will also be in stunning colours so the whole scene is magical. Of course if you self drive from Yuzawa to here, you will see it even more!
