This headland contains a number of formidable World War Two German defences constructed during the occupation of Jersey. On close inspection, the array of bunkers, observation towers and gunpits are impressive in their construction and their field of vision over the ocean. Read moreYou MUST visit this if on holiday. The bunker is open on selected Sundays during the year. It's very well worth the visit. With walls made of reinforced concrete (2m thick, with a roof 3m thick), it really would of sustained heavy bombings. The bunker is full of history. You take in more when lively children aren't with you!
