Very disappointed with this company - terrible customer service.

We were booked on the 09.20 zodiac tour - the first of the day. The required us to be there 30 minutes before the tour so we could suit up in protective clothing.

The night before the tour we received a note saying there was a risk our tour would have to be cancelled due to too much ice in the lagoon. They said they were not cancelling yet, but were just warning us of the risk. This felt like great customer service. We assumed we would get an email the next morning updating us on status.

We got up early the next morning to check out of our hotel and waited for the email - nothing came. We tried to call them multiple times with no one answering. We drove to the site (35 minutes) and stood around. No one told us what was happening and like everyone else who was waiting we were left standing around with no information. Finally at 09.05 - some 15 minutes after we were told to be there, they opened their ticket office to a queue of people only to tell us that the tour was cancelled due to safety concerns with too much ice in the lagoon.

After a few of us complained about the lack of communication. They said their staff came on site at 08.00 and had been trying to cut a route out into the ice for the previous hour and had only just decided it was not safe to proceed.

We have absolutely no problem with the tour being cancelled - if it was not safe of course they had to cancel. Our problem was with the appalling communication: . They could have offered us the opportunity to cancel without penalty the night before when there was uncertainty. Given we were staying 35 minutes to the West and would be driving back that way after the tour we would probably have taken up the offer. . They could have send us an email at 07.00 or so telling us it was likely to be cancelled and allowing us to cancel rather than wasting our time. . More importantly they could have had staff on site far earlier than 08.00 to assess the situation. It's not as though it was dark - it is Iceland in summer. . And they certainly could have opened their office or had some one come around and update us far earlier than 15 minutes after the time we were told to be on site. There were a large number of people hanging around waiting for information just left standing there with no certainty.

We ended up with a wasted 2.5 hours all up instead of having a leisurely breakfast at our hotel and driving in the opposite direction after breakfast!

We finally received an email from them at 8pm that night that confirmed cancellation. It said nothing about refunding our money - instead it highlighted their terms of business which were that if we cancelled within 24 hours they would deduct 50%. Of course a full refund did finally come through to our credit card after a number of days, but the email was silent and indeed implied we would be hit with a 50% penalty.

Very disappointed - total waste...

Not much to say here other than wow!!! Ok, I’ll say some more.

Visiting the Glacier Lagoon (Jökulsárlón) in Iceland was nothing short of a jaw-dropping experience, the kind that leaves you both speechless and profoundly moved. As a passionate foodie who appreciates the beauty of fine details, I can honestly say that nature has rarely served a more spectacular feast for the senses.

The moment we arrived, we were greeted by a landscape so otherworldly, it felt like stepping into a frozen dream. Giant icebergs, tinged with deep blues and brilliant whites, floated serenely on the glass-like surface of the lagoon, each one uniquely sculpted by the forces of nature. The sheer size and scale of these ice formations, some towering like majestic cathedrals, was awe-inspiring.

We chose to take a boat tour, which brought us up close and personal with these glacial giants. Gliding silently among them, I couldn’t help but marvel at the clarity and beauty of the ice, some of it hundreds of years old. The contrast between the crystal-clear water, the shifting hues of the ice, and the dark volcanic sand on the distant shores was mesmerizing—a scene that photos can’t quite capture, no matter how stunning they may be.

Seals playfully popped their heads above the water, adding to the almost mythical quality of the experience. As the guide explained the history and science behind the lagoon, we felt a profound connection to the ancient and ever-changing nature of Iceland’s glaciers. It was more than just a visual spectacle; it was a humbling reminder of the power and beauty of our planet.

Standing there, enveloped by the crisp, chilly air, with the crackling sound of ice shifting in the distance, I felt a deep sense of peace and wonder. Glacier Lagoon isn’t just a destination—it’s a living, breathing masterpiece that must be seen to be believed. If there’s one place in Iceland that will make you feel truly alive, this is it. An absolute must-visit that will leave you saying “wow” long after you’ve...

We had the pleasure of experiencing a Zodiac boat tour of the glacier lagoon, and it was nothing short of spectacular. Our guide was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area. From the moment we set off, he ensured we felt safe by providing thorough safety instructions, which were clear and easy to understand.

Throughout the trip, he offered an informative running commentary that enriched our understanding of the glacier lagoon and its stunning surroundings. His deep knowledge of the area’s history and geology added an educational layer to the adventure, making the experience even more engaging.

One of the highlights was when he took extra time to show us seals basking on an iceberg. It was a delightful and unexpected treat that added a touch of magic to the tour. The beautiful blue color of the icebergs was truly mesmerizing, and the cooperative, sunny weather made the scenery even more breathtaking.

The guide’s commitment to ensuring we fully enjoyed the lagoon's beauty was evident. He navigated the boat skillfully, allowing us ample time to take in the stunning views and capture memorable photos. The combination of the serene blue icebergs, the playful seals, and the brilliant sunshine made for an unforgettable day.

The Zodiac boat tour was an outstanding experience, thanks in large part to our exceptional guide. His friendliness, expertise, and dedication to our enjoyment turned a beautiful day into a truly memorable adventure. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore the glacier lagoon in the best possible way.

Thank you, Zodiac...
