I had an overnight stay at the reserve. Took an economy cabin. When I arrived the cabin it was bigger than my NYC apartment and the guy who showed me my cabin was very helpful--and I tend to ask many questions. The cabin has a terrace with 2 rattan chairs and table, Granite bathroom, 4 windows looking at nature, clean towels and bedding with nice smell that invites you to sleep, with extra seating, tables...etc.
The cabin also has 3 types of herbal tea in big sacks waiting for you with a big jar of water, a small fridge, fan, water heater...etc.
Checking-in is at 3, so for lunch I ordered grill mix with 'mtabal'..it was delicious and plenty. I asked for take-home and they wrapped it nicely and added another cup of water too.
I took the trail that does not require a guide. It was around an hour. Thankfully, there is no way to get lost as I'm prone to that. The reserve has some rare trees and herbs. The trail was even better the next day in the early morning..it smelled so nice and I did not want it to end.
People in Jordan are generous and I was invited to coffee multiple times by different groups of ladies and guys.
Breakfast was included in the overnight stay---and it was ridiculously generous in variety--and all you can eat in quantity. I never tasted such strawberry jam! They also had beach jam, local-home made style cheese, fresh eggs--made to order, out of the oven pita bread, hummus, and another fancy hummus, cake, 3 types of fruits...among other varieties that I do not remember. I just sampled from few and was full.
The reserve has a 'soap house' where you watch the ladies making soap the traditional way with olive oil, herbs, honey, and pomegranate. After watching I wanted some and got them from the giftshop across the hallway. One of the types was not in the shop and they took me back with them to the soap house and wrapped a 'fresh one' for me and told me not to use it before it 'cures' in a week.
The views of the mountains is relaxing, specially from the overlooking restaurant. I also took the zipline and enjoyed the view.

The reserve has a visitor’s center for tickets and accommodation check-in. If you are here for hiking, they have tours of 1, 2, 3, 4 KMs and beyond trails. The 1 and 2 KM trails are self-walked, while 3 KM onwards trails are with a guide, and must be booked a day in-advance.
The trails are served with signs and walking paths, and don’t require hiking gear. Caution and attention are required, though.
They offer ample parking, and you can buy tickets by cash or card.
Next to the visitor’s center is a small shop for local items, as well as a restaurant. They also have restrooms.
Within 500 meters is a zip-line, a tele-match area, and the Reserve Restaurant (AKA Oak Restaurant). Each incur separate fees.
There is also a small bakery next to the Oak Restaurant that bakes local Jordanian cookies. The place is called “Biscuit House”.
