Ayusai Gorge, also known as Bear Gorge, is a stunning natural attraction located near Almaty in the Ile-Alatau National Park. The gorge is renowned for its beautiful waterfalls and breathtaking scenery, making it a must-visit destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. Upon arrival, visitors are greeted by three bear sculptures, setting a welcoming tone for the adventure ahead. The nearby visitor center provides essential information about the park and promotes sustainable ecotourism, making it an excellent starting point for your visit[1][2]. The gorge features three main waterfalls. The first waterfall is easily accessible, located just 700 meters from the entrance. It stands at 6 meters tall and is a popular spot for visitors due to its proximity and picturesque surroundings. However, caution is advised when navigating the slippery stones near the falls[1][5]. For those seeking further adventure, the path continues to the second waterfall, which is surrounded by lush greenery in summer and transforms into a snowy landscape in winter. The third waterfall is the tallest at 10 meters and offers a more challenging trek, rewarding visitors with stunning views from an observation deck[1][5]. Ayusai Gorge is best visited on weekdays to avoid crowds, especially around the first waterfall, which can attract up to 1,200 visitors on weekends. The area offers ample parking and is suitable for both summer hikes and winter activities like sledding[3][5]. Overall, Ayusai Gorge is a captivating destination that offers a blend of natural beauty and adventure. Whether you're hiking to see the waterfalls or simply enjoying the serene environment, it's an experience that showcases the unique landscapes of Kazakhstan.

An ideal resting spot en route to the majestic Big Almaty Lake, this locale offers ample space for families to unwind amidst breathtaking mountain vistas. The natural beauty of the surroundings is simply awe-inspiring. While there are food choices available, vegetarians may find limited options. However, the panoramic views and serene atmosphere more than compensate for any culinary constraints. It's a perfect place to recharge before continuing your journey to explore the wonders of the region.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Beautiful nature escape just 20–30 mins from Almaty. The trail runs along a clear river, surrounded by pine trees and cool mountain air. Great for light hikes, relaxing, or photos. Not too crowded if you go early. Tip: Wear comfy shoes, bring water, and don’t skip the quiet spots deeper in. Perfect reset for the mind. #Almarasan #KazakhstanNature

Its a beautiful place with unlimited charm. There is so much to see and walk. You can go all the way up to Big Almaty lake where the view is mesmerizing.
