We recently had the pleasure of experiencing a 6-day trip with Baltas Tours, and it was nothing short of incredible. His deep knowledge of the area, attention to detail, and passion for creating an unforgettable experience were evident throughout the entire process. He listened carefully to our preferences and crafted a perfect itinerary, balancing sightseeing, adventure, and relaxation in the best way possible. His willingness to customize and be flexible showed just how much Baltas Tours cares about their clients. Our guide, Diana, was a true gem. Throughout the 6 days, she was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly warm and approachable. Her ability to provide fascinating insights into the history, culture, and hidden gems of each location really enriched our trip. Diana made sure that everything was organized and ran smoothly, adapting to any changes with ease and keeping us engaged and comfortable at all times. Not only did he navigate the roads with skill and confidence, but he also provided a calming presence during our journey. Rishad was always punctual, courteous, and extremely helpful. Whether we were traveling through bustling cities or remote areas, we felt safe and well-cared-for in his hands. His knowledge of the local routes and his ability to get us to each destination on time with ease made our trip that much more enjoyable. We reached out to Baltas tour needing a guide for 4 days on short notice, and Alex (the owner) was responsive, easy to liaise with and reverts promptly.

We were very happy to have Zhanbolat as our guide this trip. He is an expert in the great outdoors. In some of the crowded popular hikes, he was able to bring us on trails that were less crowded and we were able to take scenic photos. Zhanbolat watched over us when hiking and especially on those who found it challenging walking on rocky & stony terrain, crossing slippery narrow wooden planks, and crossing slippery rocky streams. As we didn’t want to hold up the group, he was careful to help those who needed a little more support and ensured that no one fell. We all had a good time exploring different lakes, canyon & waterfalls. He was also a careful driver even after a whole long day and driving in the night back to town. We didn’t get car motion sickness with his driving.

He was able to tailor the city tour to fit what we wanted to explore. He brought us to nice, reasonably priced local restaurants to try the local cuisine and they were good. Overall, a very enjoyable trip, seeing what Almaty had to offer - the place, the people and the food. Zhanbolat comes across a sincere and genuine person who wanted to show what his country...

I joined a 5-day tour covering Altyn Emel National Park, Kaindy Lake, Kolsay Lake, and Charyn Canyon. They were very flexible with the itinerary, allowing me to customize it according to what we wanted to see. The entire trip was organized seamlessly. They also provided tips to ensure I was prepared for my trip, such as the estimated costs of lunch/dinner and which routes we might be experiencing motion sickness.

Our guide, Mr Zhanbolat, was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about Kazakhstan’s nature and culture, sharing fascinating stories and making sure we felt safe and well-taken care of. He was very flexible in the schedule, allowing us to see whatever we wanted to see without any rush in getting to the next destination. He also brought us to a few off-the-beaten-path locations for views and photos which you could not find in any travel guide. He was also a good hiker and was able to show us the safe routes to take when ascending or descending along the hiking trails.

Everything ran smoothly, and it was clear that a lot of thought went into every detail. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience the best of Kazakhstan’s natural wonders...
