Mixed feelings. It is nice that they preserve the city’s history, but there is a lot of info lacking. There are some signs (also in English) with a few sentences of explenation here and there. However, I still don’t know a lot of historical or social context. Besides that it’s unclear to me which structures are reconstructions and which are actual parts of the ancient city. Entry is very cheap (only 1000KZT). Would recommend to visit when in Shymkent, but dont expect anything mindblowing.
