The Great Rift Valley lodge was great :) There’s nothing else to add. We visited it in Feb of 2022 for the Valentine’s day and I couldn’t have had a better time. See pictures to find out for yourself. Here’s my pros and cons: Pros: - We had a really cool view from our lodge/room. This just beats it all. See the pictures. - The lodge had all the conveniences: fast WiFi, hot walk-in shower, small fridge, coffee/tea and water kettle, mosquito nets. It had no TV, but who needs a TV these days. The WiFi is fast enough for you to watch Netflix or YouTube. - Then the resort itself has a swimming pool, a golf course, two restaurants, bars. - You can also engage in outdoor activities, like animal watching (a “game drive”, I guess what they call it.) See the listing in my pictures. - We chose to ride bicycles. They have nice and safe paved roads around the complex. - There’s a lot of good food offered in their free (included) buffet, or in the Ala-cart menu. The service was great overall. (Except maybe one waiter that was too obsequious.) - It is fairly reasonably priced for the services and amenities provided. - It is not far from Nairobi. Maybe an hour drive by car. We went with an Uber. Cons: - Water in the swimming pool was somewhat cold. - The reception area needs some improvement. When we pulled up with our luggage, we had to go look for someone to check us in. It is also kinda dark and the heavy plexiglass doesn’t make it look welcoming. And the ladies at the reception weren’t very friendly. - They didn’t have a spa to get a massage.

GRVL is a beautiful place, no doubt. My sister did her wedding here, so I spent four nights at the resort. Apart from the natural and photogenic beauty; the calm, tranquility, and serenity I experienced there is unmatched. There is literally zero noise, and the sky is that sky blue; bright blue. I have seen that bright blue sky only in Watamu, Kenya. The world suddenly stops at GRVL, and you forget all your worries. One of my other highlights was Chef Julia Njeri. She made supper and breakfast for my friends, siblings and I on Saturday night and Sunday morning. The food was delicious and uplifting. It was indeed an uplifting breakfast and an appropriate start of the day to Crescent Island. I would only recommend the following improvements: 1. Do away with the swimming charges for guests in the chalets. People already pay a lot of money to put up and dine at GRVL. 2. Please ensure that bathrooms are pre-fixed. On the first day, one of the toilets had a flushing problem, and on my last night, the showering water was cold and could not be fixed in my room's bathroom. Regardless, thank you for the wonderful experience! Again, the world stops at GRVL.

Great Rift Valley Lodge or simply GRVL is a quiet and serene getaway and golf resort located on the North of Naivasha town in the middle of nowhere. Its situated in a very calm environment and offers good levels of privacy to tourists and visitors. Houses range from 3 to 5 bedroomed self contained own compound accommodation. The houses are well furnished and spacious enough with vast balconies. Not only perfect for golfers as it prides itself with beautiful and vast golf courses but also for families and friends getaways. Prices range from KES 24,000 for two guests with inclusion of breakfast. Theres also the option of getting a daily chef at 3000 or more depending on what is to be done. Also available in the resort is a swimming pool, a tourist shop with a variety of locally made stuffs that range from house decors to clothes and different games. Perfect landscaping that provides a serene environment for joggers and athletes who would wanna do Morning or evening runs. Available on sight are also animals mainly antelopes, zebras and baboons. My husband and I usually do random destination visits,no plans no nothing,just getting into the car and driving. So we found ourselves here,not the first time though,but this visit was quite different and we enjoyed more. Arrived around the lunch our so we chose to do buffet,there are sooooo so so many varieties of delicious foods to choose,great salads,soups, desserts,and assorted fruits,all very yummy. In terms of service,their team is very trained hence very professional, After lunch we went took a walk around.they have a large and well maintained golf field if you are a fan. Fresh air from all round,we did some games,and took some good photos,did some yoga,. In short we really enjoyed our visit. 5 ⭐ it is! I am ever repeat client for good joints and this time i was here for my Birthday lunch.Everything is much better,i mean,it gets better everyday.The outdoor was amazing ,the rains have kept the grass so nice.The weather didn't allow us to capture as many pics as we would wish,but we enjoyed our stay.

Wow, this place sounds fantastic! While the resort is expansive – so large you'd need more than just your feet to explore it all – they conveniently offer vans to help you get around. The staff are a real highlight, being both polite and incredibly helpful. I have to give a special shout-out to the drivers, Amos and John, who were so kind and even took the time to point out where the animals were relaxing. The food buffet boasts a delightful variety of dishes, and I especially loved their baked beans! If you're looking for a truly relaxing escape far from the hustle and bustle of city life, this is definitely the place to be. The only sounds you'll hear are the peaceful chirping of birds. To top it off, the rooms are clean and well-maintained, and the lush green environment is simply superb.

I love nature, and waking up to birds chirping is just awesome. Also, we had a hyena on our pouch some nights.
