The place is AMAZING, beautiful trails and a serene environment suitable for both friends and family. HOWEVER, some of the personnel are extremely rude and are not interested in the customers' happiness. I could not believe how our excitement dropped by like 50% right at the entrance! The lady selling the tickets was the most unwelcoming making us just want to turn back and go to Paradise Lost, maybe?, (they were definitely nicer there)! Or even go back home! Fortunately, we held our heads high and decided she would not ruin our beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon. We were a bit disappointed to miss bikes at the Bike Rental place, but we still did not give up. Read moreBeautifully diverse in plant, bird and insect life. On all visits the numerous species of butterflies are notable. A pair of good binoculars and patience yields great bird watching time too. The specific areas for dog walking are excellent. The tracks are interesting without being overly arduous. The sights, sounds, scents , wind in your hair downhill, puffing your way back to the top all contribute to massive cycling derived grin that is guaranteed here. The cafés and eateries are good too. A cup of coffee/ cold drink with a bite at the end is great. It is very easy to spend 3 or 4 hours here....
Read moreVery ideal for a casual walk, a hike, a jog. There is sufficient security provided by the Kenya Forest Service wardens. That said, there is provision for one to tag along their pet like dogs and conquer the hike trail. One thing is for sure; this place provides the aura of relaxation and peace. Away from the hustle and bustle of city life. For those that like to immerse themselves in the ambience of nature, this is the place to be. I did not see one but I bet this place is a good ground for Yoga enthusiasts. Birding and photography also has a place here. If you like everything botanical, most of the trees are labelled and you can gain insight of the local species of trees here. Highly...
