Tayiana Gardens — Attraction in Nairobi

Beautiful location. Four issues I encountered,1. We had booked the floating deck for our picnic and had to keep asking 2 bridal parties to excuse us so we could set up and have our peace as they all wanted pics on and around the deck. Quite distractive. 2. There are no lights on the grounds. Makes it terribly hard to set down. 3. The whole place would do with some maintenance, eg fixing broken planks on the floating deck, washing the chairs and mattresses we found on the deck....4. Allow vehicles carrying set up materials closer to the venues of set up and set down. It's very easy to get accidents while carrying things to and fro due to distance where the parking is. The decor was AMAZING, that alone is 5 stars! However, the sanitation is very poor regarding the restroom (washroom). There is no point to have beautiful well thought out decor and the washroom to be unkempt. There was not enough water to flush, I couldn't wash my hands since the water ran out. Sanitation is very important. I was in shock such a beautiful setting and a restroom with lack of water and unclean? This needs to be paid attention to. In all honesty the place is totally unmaintained. No clean washrooms. The dam is dirty, the swimming pool is dirty, grass unmaintained. The wood paths are eaten up by termites you get your heels stuck as you walk around. The staff absolutely rude 🙄. They barely give you water to wash your hands. Yaani...
