Jacaranda Bay — Attraction in Watamu ward

Beach may be beautiful, but pictures are a bit too flattering, there is usually a lot of seaweed on the shore with ton of plastic. Don't think you can beach walk there, there will be five people all over you, walking along, having first a small talk that you cannot opt out of if you want to be polite, that leads to buy/pay for something. Once you say no, they walk out and within 10 meters there will be another group coming up. As much as I can understand trying to make a business and living, after 20 min you just want to escape from that...

A beautiful and not very crowded beach. The road from Malindi is quite rough. A piki ride is beautiful for an experienced rider but would not recommend a tuk tuk in any circumstance. I took kite surfing lessons here with a private coach. There never seems to be waves but the unique shape of the bay means alternating shallow and deep parts. A couple of restaurants are nearby for drinks...

any kitesurfer should come here! amazing spot with flat water as soon as you pass the stones at the beginning. hope it will be more developed...
