We spent 2 weeks in Twiga. Great hotel, great managment, lovely and beautiful staff, veeery tasty food, best experience we've ever had so far😍😍 If you are looking for a place to relax next to almost empty beach, this is a place to stay🥰🥰🥰🥰 We found managers - Mrs.Angela and Mr.Massimo very helpful in any of our requests.Always there for us to help or solve even smallest issues. Many thanks guys😉😍😍 Me and my wife we used to work in hotels & reastaurants for the most time of our lifes and we think managers of Twiga are the most professional we have ever met so far, keep on good work guys👍👍👍❤️❤️ All the staff from gardeners, housekeeping, waiters, bartenders and animators are the best in the world. We never had such a pleasure to deal with such a lovely people-always smiling, always keen to help...Awesome❤️❤️Thanks a lot❤️❤️ If you want to taste a little bit of Kenya, Twiga has one of the best food we have ever had even in most expensive restaurants. So much to choose from buffet, pasta station where chef is preparing fresh seafood or veeery tasty fishes and grill everyday🥰🥰🥰 The hotel has beautiful sandy beach with sunbeds and many palmtrees around so you can hide in the shade😊There is NO sea urchins in the ocean at all, which is very safe if you go swimming or walking in the water(must use water shoes-rocky bottom). If you are kitesurfer this is a place for you! Thank you all for such a lovely time, we will miss you all of you guys hoping to see you again in our future❤️❤️❤️ Magda & Tom

I have been here several times and all the time I get something new. The rooms are well done, spacious and clean, swimming pool is beautiful and the beach has many palm trees for shade, they are also located very close to the Sagdena island Which people travel from malindi to come do a day visit but at The hotel is merely a walk to the island when the tides allow, but seek advice from the reception on this

We checked in around 1pm, expect a buffet lunch which we were told we would get when booking. Once we sat for lunch, we asked the waiter if we could see the menu and he said they don’t have a menu, the CHEF will decide what we eat. I was in shock. So we basically said I don’t think he can pick what we want to eat… so the chef came and said I have beef , chicken , fish… pick between those 3. Sides we have chips and rice. We opted for chicken.. I personally had chicken and rice . The chicken was grilled ( super dry) , served with rice ( boiled) with not even a sauce … we asked for a sauce and they whipped up some kinda tomato sauce that tasted like nacho salsa… we kept our cool and said maybe dinner would be a buffet since lunch some guests might be on half board, we took full board. ||DINNER Time!! ||We go to the dining hall. NO BUFFET. We said it alright as long as they serve us something good… ||Guess what?! They said the chef has cooked dinner and it’s beef stew and rice ( mchuzi wa nyama na wali wa kuchemsha) how? I was confused . Felt ripped off … I tried to eat it and damn the meat tasted like COW! It was soo strong. I sent it back and they brought me same thing but fish on the side . It was dry and just a mess. At this point My hubby and I were super upset. We eat better at home! Why did we drive all the way from Mombasa to watamu for this? ||||Earlier on when we checked in and they brought us to the room . I asked the staff if we could get a blanket and he said they don’t provide blankets. Mind you the rooms have a.c …. ||Night came … we went to bed… we froze ! The beds are super uncomfortable… all we had was a super duper thin bedsheet. I swear we had the worst night ! We woke up in the morning and wanted to check out … but we were basically told if we check out early we will have to pay 100 USd . Which did not make any sense. Hubby suggested we just stay. ||||||Morning came, ||We woke up and headed to the dining hall. They gave us egg options. I personally don’t eat eggs and my daughter is Allergic to eggs. They offered sausages ( they were not halaal) . So they ended up bringing us ( eggs, toast, biscuits and a mahamri 😂🙏) I literally ate nothing on that plate. The chef was concerned and offered to make me a cheese sandwich … which was very thoughtful… ||||We spoke to the agency we booked through. They contacted the hotel about the issue of the meals. Finally they decided to give us a menu… we picked what you eat.. the lunch and dinner that day was good. ||||Night came ( time to sleep) day 2 ||||We asked for 2 blankets. The receptionist said we should have asked earlier ( which we did, and they said they don’t provide) he said the room that has blankets is locked and all the staff have left??? Have can a RESORT not have staff at night ? And how do they even lock a room with beddings? What if my daughter threw up on the sheets? Or any accident happened ? But anyways . He called me and said he got us a blanket… ||It was brought . Can I tell you that was the most disgusting blanket I had ever seen! It was nasty! It smelt so bad … it was dusty and when you moved it dirt would literally come off it! My whole body started to itch. I took it outside the room. I tried to call the reception but they literally ignored our calls. We found cockroaches in the room… not to forget! The room smelt horrible! It had this musty smell. ||||I wish I had read all the reviews and actually believed them before coming here. Lesson learnt?||Kindly check reviews of a place before booking it, I hope you don’t experience what we just did, ||||I posted the pictures I managed to take. I hope these...
