Visiting the Lebanese Diaspora Village in Batroun was a fascinating journey into Lebanon’s rich heritage and the deep connections shared with its diaspora worldwide. This unique village beautifully blends history, culture, and a sense of belonging, making it a must-visit destination for anyone exploring Batroun.

The architecture of the village is stunning, with traditional Lebanese-style homes and stone-paved pathways that transport you back in time. Each corner tells a story, celebrating the contributions of Lebanese expatriates and preserving the cultural identity that unites them with their homeland.

The interactive exhibits and displays are both educational and inspiring, offering insights into the lives of Lebanese emigrants and the impact they’ve had globally. The village also serves as a reminder of the enduring ties between Lebanon and its diaspora, a connection that remains unbroken despite distance.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff is knowledgeable and eager to share the history and significance of the site. It’s clear that great care and thought have gone into making the village a meaningful experience for visitors.

One suggestion would be to incorporate more live activities or events, such as traditional music or workshops, to enhance the immersion and bring the stories to life.

Overall, the Lebanese Diaspora Village is more than just a site to visit—it’s a place to reflect on the resilience and pride of the Lebanese people. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, this village offers a powerful reminder of the beauty of cultural heritage and the strength of...

Good guest house in the middle of Batroun souk, you have to park outside the souk and roll your luggage on the rough road surface (so make absolutely sure that you bring light luggage) also they have a high stairs to reach to the reception room, they don't stay there all the time but they provide you with their phone numbers (sometimes they don't answer!) They take CASH ONLY, in fact in batroun all restaurants we went to take cash only which is not convenient, they have a nice Piazza in the middle of the compound with restaurants and shops with not very loud music that will stay on till 12 midnight, they give you for breakfast a tray with manakeesh, labneh, olives, tomato and cucumber, something funny happened to us as they place these separate trays on the reception table for you to grab one and take it to the nice patio to eat (you bring with you your room kettle with cups if you want hot tea or coffee), anyway, when we went to get our tray we found it was taken by others, we called them and explained to them the situation as no one was there in the reception area!, they brought us a tray after a while which was OK, the reason I brought up this incident is for the management to find a solution by probably placing a note on each tray specifying the room name or number, so people will not take extra ones as...

Feels Like Home at Diaspora Village Hotel

I had a wonderful stay at Diaspora Village Hotel it truly feels like home! The rooms are clean, well-arranged, and equipped with essentials like towels, shampoo, shower gel, tea, Nescafé, and a kettle. If you need extra sachets, the staff will kindly direct you to a self-service area, which adds to the cozy, home-like experience.

The small terrace outside the rooms is perfect for relaxing after exploring the nearby souks, beach, coffee shops, and restaurants all within walking distance. There are also several restaurants just under the hotel, on the ground floor, often lively with background music in the evening. There's even a nice open space where kids can safely roam around.

The rooms are not wheelchair accessible, as access involves stairs, but for families or couples, it's a fantastic spot. They offer large family rooms that can accommodate up to 8 people.

Each morning, breakfast is served on a tray and includes:

1 zaatar mankoushe

1 cheese mankoushe

1 chocolate mankoushe

A plate of labneh

A plate of cucumber, tomato, and olives

This breakfast is perfect for couples and served with great hospitality.

From my side, I truly fell in love with this place. It's warm, convenient, and ideal for both couples and families. Inshallah, I will come...

BATROUN is a coastal city in northern Lebanon and one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. The city was under Roman rule to Phoenice Province, and later after the region was Christianized became a suffragan of the Patriarch of Antioch. In 551, Batroun was destroyed by an earthquake, which also caused mudslides and made the Cape Lithoprosopon crack. Batroun is a major tourist destination in North Lebanon. The town boasts historic Maronite and Greek Orthodox churches. The town is also a major beach resort with a vibrant nightlife that includes pubs and nightclubs. Citrus groves surround Batroun, and the town has been famous (from the early 20th century) for its fresh lemonade sold at the cafés and restaurants on its main street. Biking along the Batroun coastline is also a major activity mainly in late summer days. In 2009, the Batroun International Festival was born. It began hosting leading local and international artists. The festival usually takes place in July and/or August of each year in the old harbor area.

Beautiful place, there are different restaurants and cafe.. and various corners for pictures 😅 The variety of restaurants and cafes must offer a delightful range of culinary experiences, while the various photo corners add an extra layer of charm and fun to the ambiance. It seems like the perfect spot for a memorable day out.

It is a great location to explore and see the history of the location. The various restaurants make it a good place to go if you are not sure what you want to eat. There is a small gift shop that sells various Lebanese hand crafted items to take home as souvenirs. There is also the famous wine window there. Do pass by.
