Blue Marlin Batroun — Hotel in Batroun

Hello, This is not a mean review because I never write reviews normally but here I have too. I have traveled the world and I've never seen a expensive place like this one with such a poor service. I feel really ripped off! It's 3 or 4 time too expensive for what the offer you, really. For the very very expensive price we paid, we were expecting a MUCH better service with at least some smiles sometimes by the people working there, especially the owners and girls working at the reception (except Rachelle). -When we entered the room, bootle where still on the balcony. -The served 1 day the breakfast once in the room (it is their rules) but without any drinks (not even water). Then just took the plates away once finished and didn't clean the place after breakfast. It's very dirty (look at the picture). -In 3 nights, the room wasn't done not even once. We had to ask for new towels and toilet paper and take them by ourselves at the reception. -they called me to advise not to flush toilet paper, but never came to empty the bin in 3 nights... -beds are not comfortable at all. You almost feel the bed slats in the parent room. -for the breakfast at the reception the 2 other morning, nothing great and exactly the same poor ingredients. You have to do everything yourself and no explication are given. We found by ourselves that you could cook eggs (by yourself of course) in the garden full of mosquitos. There is a lady siting in the reception but on her phone the whole time that isn't able to assist you with whatever. Bread/croissant are very dry. Cafe is soluble and there is no milk or juices. You site on coaches which is not comfortable. Don't go there for a good breakfast. only good thing about the place is that is it well decorated, location is good and Amanda & Rachelle that are nice smiling people. The rest is very poor. Since the social media posts and very well designed website leave you impressed and excited to book and stay, we made reservations for our family of 7 persons for a weekend. |We were told that they will accommodate us in their new furnished apartments at Escape Blue Marlin which is 2 min away from the main resort. |We checked the pictures on the website and social media and liked it a lot.|I will not go into details.such as how they have no parking spaces and a very poor welcoming.||We were shocked to see the location !! |A regular residential building surrounded by other buildings with no view at all at a room rate of 1,100,000 LBP per night ! |We were not informed that this would be the place we will be staying at. |The social media doesn’t show the location of Escape and surroundings at all ! So you arrive and are bewildered with what you see. ||Plus, the check in is at 3 pm not at 2 pm like all guest houses. They made us wait under the pretext that they are sanitizing the apartment.|And after waiting all this time it turned out that the guests who were staying before still didn’t leave ! They left just when we arrived that’s when we were told that we need to wait an extra 15 minutes !! So we left.||This is cheating at it’s best.
