I’m shocked and deeply disappointed by our experience at Watergate Aqua Park. My 16-year-old daughter wore a modest swimsuit (from Decathlon, a sleeveless one-piece with mini shorts, clearly designed for swimming). Yet, at every single slide or ride, she was stopped and questioned by multiple staff members asking if what she was wearing was a “real swimsuit.”
This happened repeatedly, with a tone that was disbelieving and, frankly, humiliating. Even after she explained that it was indeed swimwear, they continued to look at her with judgment, and in several instances, TOUCHED HER CLOTHING to verify the material. This is absolutely unacceptable.
We’ve lived abroad for a while, traveled to many countries and water parks, and honestly this has NEVER happened before. One male staff member even went SO FAR AS TO ASK HER TO TAKE OFF HER SHORTS! A 16-year-old girl being subjected to such treatment, including physical inspection, is absolutely unacceptable . No teenager should be made to feel shamed or scrutinized for choosing modesty.
This is not just about swimwear policy, it’s about respect, dignity, and the completely inappropriate behavior of the staff. If Watergate Aqua Park has policies, they must be applied respectfully and with proper training, not with judgment or invasive behavior. I will be taking OFFICIAL LEGAL ACTION for the emotional harm and BOUNDARY VIOLATION my daughter experienced.
Until they train their staff on how to treat all guests with respect, regardless of what type of swimwear they choose, I cannot recommend this...
Read moreVery Disappointing – Not Up to 5-Star Standards Our visit to the aqua park at Le Royal Hotel was extremely disappointing. The place was overcrowded, with many summer camps there, which made it feel chaotic and far from the relaxing experience you'd expect from a 5-star hotel.
The service was terrible — no staff came to take orders at the pool, and no one seemed available to assist guests at all. Shockingly, the person in charge of cleaning came right to the pool area carrying a large trash bin to collect waste, which was both unpleasant and unhygienic.
The cleanliness of the entire area was unacceptable. The chaise lounges were made of bare plastic, like what you'd expect at a public or free beach — no cushioning, no towels, and definitely no luxury. The tables and loungers were dirty, and there were no ashtrays provided.
When I raised some of these issues, another guest stepped in, and I mistakenly thought he worked there. I began to share my concerns, and instead of helping, he started shouting and using inappropriate language — which made the situation even worse.
As for the adult-only (14+) pool, it was overcrowded and loud. People were jumping and splashing as if it were a kids’ play area
For a hotel that charges high entrance fees and claims to be five stars, the standards were shockingly low. I truly felt like we were at a public beach, not a luxury resort. I absolutely do not recommend it — there are many other pools and aqua parks in the area that are much better managed and offer a far more...
Read morewent to the slides via an invitation .. Was told enhance was like 35 US dollars or so. Nice and clean but they have this height issue for some kids to use a certain slide. So if your kid is younger than 8 years old but tall, he is blocked from entering some slides and that stops him or her from playing with his friends or cousins :((( this is not right and might cause kids to feel sad and guilty that they are tall!!!
The second thing is that with such a high entrance fee and food is expensive too... you are not even given a small locker!! That is an extra 15 dollars !!! Wow... and if u want a cabin, I assume they said 35 dollars... as if a chainsaw up and down. At least give a locker for people to lock things away sigh such a high entrance fee.
What I don't understand is that with such a place , full of kids ( 90% ) whyyyyyyyyy are you allowing " argheeleh "???? This is ridiculous. You are sun tanning and the benches are close to each other and you have these people that are having the argheeleh few meters from where you and your kids are!!! Sooooooo wrong... the smell is wrong, it is not safe cause kids run and they might fall over it and burn themselves etc... block these people that have no respect to other people's right for a smoke free area to a certain space away from...
