Incredible little place for your mind body and soul to get some much needed R & R after stressful days spent in cities. It's simple, clean (washrooms as well), natural and reminds me of the old days on the Lebanese coast. Very peaceful, food and drinks are very affordable and taste amazing, like homemade! Take for example the Tabouleh, better than most of the ones I've had at houses! Arguileh is only 10,000 LL! Rose and her family treats us very well in this family atmosphere. So many nice places to sit as if you are at home but with an incredible view and sea breeze! You can play Tawleh (backgammon), cards, whatever or just chat with friendly people.
The water is very clean, the young man waitering there told me he swims everyday and has no skin infections. They also created beautiful pools on the beach that have clean sandy bottoms, ladders and steps where you can do swimming without the waves pounding you as they are protetected by man-made poured concrete and rocks adding to the already rocky coast. But Jiyeh Beach has everything: sand, sea with 3 artificial pools of different depths with access to open sea, rocky platform often washed by waves, benches, umbrellas and restaurant which delivers to your bench.
