Visiting Balou3 Balaa, also known as the Baatara Gorge Waterfall, was an awe-inspiring experience that left me speechless. This natural wonder, with its three-tiered limestone bridge and cascading waterfall, is a breathtaking sight that showcases the beauty and power of nature.
The moment I arrived, I was captivated by the sheer magnificence of the gorge. The sound of the waterfall echoing through the cavern, combined with the dramatic cliffs and lush greenery, creates a magical atmosphere. It’s a place where nature’s artistry is on full display, offering a perfect blend of serenity and exhilaration.
For adventure seekers, the hike to the gorge adds an extra layer of excitement, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the surrounding beauty. Even if you’re not an avid hiker, the view alone is worth every step.

Read moreBalou balaa is a nice site to visit. It doesn't take much time to finish the tour of the place. For nature loves you will enjoy it. There is a very small entry fee but it is really small. Overthere there are some attractions such as a small cable car and a zip line.
In early or mid spring the site is more beautiful with a bigger water fall but in summer it tends to decrease in size.
Overall it is a nice place to walk however bring your hiking shoes and something that is not slippery as the road to reach the Balou is a Rocky slippery road.
At the end of the road there was a small cave but it is restricted and closed off since it is relatively dangerous with high risk of rock fall, slipping and flooding durring most seasons.
Somethings to keep in mind, the public bathrooms here are small cabanas between the trees, and I recommend going to the bathroom...

What was annoying as well was the fee we had to pay to both park and enter the area to see the waterfall. It’s a waterfall... in nature... why do we have to pay? And no- the people we are paying are not managing anything. So that was a bit of a bitter taste. But nonetheless, it’s a beauty.
There were suggested “no-go” zones (behind the waterfall) but again, since no one is really managing anything, people are still able to walk behind there. It seems a little precarious so I’d avoid walking behind...
