Al Khiyam Beach — Attraction in Tyre

I was surprised to find a place like this in Lebanon, keeping in mind the bad beaches' reputation. Highly recommended. The diversity of people you would find there is quite astonishing. The beach is wide, but not very clean. I remember it was cleaner in the summer of 2018. Cigarette butts and leftovers are everywhere. Amazing public beach for all. Free entrance and you can get your own food unless you want to sit in one of the tents that are all over the beach with reasonable prices. The whole beach is golden sand. Amazing for the whole family. But do keep a watch for your kids because usually there are higher waves in this place that can be dangerous but the mincupality have life guards all over the shore. Do give it a try. Great beach to enjoy Tyre sun from May on - seasonally a hundred beach huts open for all you needs for food, drinks and narguileh. Be careful as the water can be treacherous, with some currents that can be difficult for the little ones and bad swimmers.
