Samogitian Art Museum — Attraction in Plungė

Seemed like the only place worth visiting in town and at the time 3 weddings were taking place there and if felt that the whole town is there.

None the less a nice park and manor. Did not visit museum because entrances were occupied from both side with wedding photographers - minor disappointment yet did not want to ruin someone's special day by walking right through.

Big parking lot, sufficient benches to sit and enjoy.

Don't know about the manor but park had only two portable WC which seemed insufficient for the crowd at the time.

Finally not sure what is going on with two building on the estate that are crumbling away, total opposite of the main two buildings. Felt weird.

Worth visiting if you drive by, definitely not as the main goal. Town is also small and I did not find much else worth seeing, drive through was more...

Probably worst art museum ever seen. 500 square meters used to show 20 paintings of not known latvian (not even lithuanian) artists. Not children friendly, if you are disabled no chance to see anything. Two small rooms upstairs for some wooden lithuanian crosses and Jesuses and metall works, but on the top floor, where you can get only small stairs. Staff not friendly. For a building history only one room reserved, everything you can get on wikipedia, wouldn't be surprised if they printed it from wiki. Not worth even a penny. Park nice, but if its wett, cant walk with a buggy, many locals walk dogs and dont collect their leftovers. Very good looking building, but very sad exhibition. They probably just have...

Pretty disappointed. Arrived at 1700 and bought tickets figuring an hour was long enough to see everything. At 1730 the clerk who sold us the tickets said they were closing in 15 minutes and we needed to finish up. She never said they were closing 15 minutes early when we purchased the tickets. The gift shop was also already closed at 1730, so I wasn't able to buy anything. What we saw was ok, but losing 25% of our time really cut into...
