It's nearly impossible to access this Public Beach without a local "volunteering" to help you down to the beach or give you a guided tour. They will be very helpful, but then insist on a tip, which has to be at least $5 per person for the beach and $25 for the tour. Is it a big deal? No. Are the falls beautiful? Yes. If you politely decline all assistance will they follow you to your car and insist that you give them money anyway? Yes. Will the vendors insist that you buy something from them for watching your car? Yes. The beach isn't much of a beach. They'll charge you for chairs and there isn't any place to just lay out a towel. Also, bring the water socks. This beach is NOT sand. It's all rock and going barefoot will hurt. Plus, there's a bar and a DJ on the cliffside. There are empty bottles and various trash strewn about and you will see bottle caps in the water, so watch where you step. For the "tips" that everyone you encounter insist upon receiving, you'd think someone would bother to keep it clean. Overall, the beauty of the spot was diminished by the locals constantly pressuring us for money. Which sucked cause we drove over 2 hours from Montego Bay to enjoy them.

We went to Mystic Mountain, Cool place to visit. Beautiful landscape and picturesque views. The staff for the ski lift or whatever you call it was great. Just wish they had less of the tourists shops at the top of the mountain and more authentic things to buy. There was a little museum like area which highlighted all the accomplishments that Jamaica had to offer. Unfortunately the restaurant was so slow and they didnt even have a large crowd. We never got our food and ended up leaving. I wanted to go into the pool via the slide but the water was too cold for me. Aside from that, the view is the best thing I can take from this trip. Next time I'll fly in so I can experience the real Ochos Rio. Oh if you are TERRIFIED of spiders just keep your eyes open because them suckers are HUGE. They werent crawling around but they were in the trees..π·πΈπ·

Amazing scenery, great place to watch the sun rise and set. The falls are slippery I recommend you bring river shoes, they are cheap and sold pretty much any souvenir store in ocho Rios. The falls are nice and cool and standing under them feels like it's beating out your tensions and stress then the beach is warm during the day and not to deep, so noon swimmers and kids can venture pretty far before water covering them is a problem. The only con is the place could use a few activities like a seeing to jump into the water. There's no way to dive from the falls into the sea... It's too shallow for that. Also not many options for food there.

This is a free beach just off the main (30 minutes walking distance from island village) where Dunn's River Falls meets the ocean, it's beautiful...several very cool waterfall photo locations for photo ops. You are initially greeted by vendors selling crafts, other souvenirs and local goods (we were advised that someone may make us try to pay but to clarify this is a FREE beach). Several places to leave your personal items and have them visible to you when you go into the water. Several of the vendors closer to the water offer an option to take your pics...a great option for solo travelers and couples. Highly recommend.

Really nice to find a public beach in Ochi. It has beautiful waterfalls which empty into the sea making the water not too salty. It was warm in parts too, a pleasure to swim in and best of all free. Refreshments are on sale and there's a VIP section above the falls which gives you access to lounge chairs and lockers for safekeeping your things (not sure of price). No restrooms or changing rooms either and it had a bit of garbage. Parking may be a hassle since you have to park on a soft shoulder of the road then hike down some steps and rock a bit (less than 5 minutes' walk) but worth it

Our local guide took us to this little gem. We had no idea where we were going, but trusted our drivers local knowledge. We pulled over on the side of the highway and passed a guarded gate to find this stunning view!! Absolutely gorgeous waterfalls and little mangrove areas across the cliff side and a beach to your right! These waters were warm and clear. We plan to go back before we leave! 10/10!! Not a ton of tourists and you can stay and explore as long as you want. Tip the people who keep this guarded and clean!!
