Lovely Animal Garden for Children

I visited on a weekend with my foster child, along with friends and their children, aged between 1œ and 3 years.

There’s a parking lot about 200 meters from the park, with plenty of spaces available.

No waiting, no ticket booth – entrance is completely free.

The park features a variety of small animals, including geese, sheep, deer, pigs, chickens, ducks, raccoons, guinea pigs, Highland cattle, a donkey, horses, and ponies (and probably more that I can’t recall).

A small stall sells bags of animal feed for €1 – more than enough for your visit.

It’s not a huge park, but it’s very charming. The only downside is that some animals don’t have enough shade.

There are a few playgrounds for the children, as well as a restaurant offering a small but tasty menu.

Next to the horses, there’s also a small stand selling ice cream – and possibly cocktails (though I might be mistaken about that).

All in all, a lovely little park in Esch-sur-Alzette – the kind of hidden gem you wouldn’t expect...

We visited here from Luxembourg City as all public transport is free. It was a short 30min train ride and a 30min walk. This was a birthday treat for my wife. The surrounding area is so lovely and picturesque. Makes the 30min walk seem like 10min. When we arrived we collected 5 packets of feed from the cafe for the goats and deers. There are also donkeys, ponies, cows, pigs, raccoons and birds. We spent a good half a day here feeding the wild life. Also the food and drink in the cafe was incredible. The cafe itself is also cool. Something out of a fairytale story. Best thing is the enclosures are huge. The animals have plenty of space which is very important. I can highly recommend this park. Also note there was no entry cost. So you can come and go as many times as...
