Location 📌: situated in Grevenmacher, at the border with Germany. Unfortunately, due to the location, almost all the souvenirs were with messages written in German. I would have loved to have options in English or French.🙏
The garden🌿: a beautiful and amazing butterfly garden🦋. I have visited a similar one into another location, and I liked more this one💖. The variety of species, the fact that a lot of butterflies 🦋 were flying around us, the plants that attract 🌼 them, the little pond, the little cute reptiles🦎 and birds 🐦⬛ singing around us, made the experience truly exotic🌺.
Visiting 🕑: you need to buy tickets in advance and book the visit on their website. A limited number of people is allowed to visit in one hour interval that you are allowed to spend there.⏳️
Parking available at the location.👏👍
From my point of view, the experience is quite nice and unique. Compared to another garden, I found this one more complete....
Read moreThis is a fun educational place to get near the butterflies and see them near. It was so entertaining to be able to find them hidden or even trying to reproduce! Some of the species i never saw before. At the middle they have microscopes to see the eggs or the wings from up close. Also many cocoons for you to see them. The birds were adorable and theres even more other animals in cages (it would be more amazing if they were free) Sometimes they prefer if you buy them online, because there is an amount of people who can be inside and the entrance is every 1 hour. But if you have to wait (like we did) you may enjoy a extremely delicious snack, foods, ice cream or a coffee. The shop is cute but the things are not exactly related to the place. I think they needed more butterfly related merchandise. I was only able to get one magnet with a butterfly. The ambient inside is a little humid, there are chairs to rest and...
Read moreVery worthwhile visit. Huge butterflies, some exotic small birds, insects, turtles and gecko's. Suitable for (small) children but also for people who are disabled. It is greenhouse full of exotic plants with a temperature of about 30°C. Good visit for when it is cold or rainy. There is a small educational lab at the back with a few microscopes and other interesting displays showing the process from egg, to caterpillar, to butterfly.
There is a small shop selling touristic trinkets (educational toys, jewelry, books, locally made soap, honey, etc.)
There is a small diner too, with reasonable prices, selling hot and cold drinks (the iced coffee and iced tea's are great) toast, hotdogs, quiches and cakes. Great service, friendly personnel and tasteful...
