We were in Luxembourg for a week with our young son and were on a mission to try Luxembourg wines. On our fourth day we had a wonderful Riesling from Domaine Henri Rupert and made it our mission to taste more. Thankfully we stopped into a wine store (Vinoteca Ville - also highly recommend for a place to buy a high quality bottle of wine) where the owner let us know Henri Rupert has a wine bar that we should check out. Several busses later we made it to Schengen from Luxembourg city and we were so glad we did. Our excellent host Kareem humored us by communicating with us via google translate. He said this was a first for him. The bar itself is on a hill with picturesque views of the Mosel river valley and the service from Kareem was second to none. My wife and I are wine enthusiasts who strongly favor red wines so for us to find a white wine that we want to bring home is no small feat and we found three at Domaine Henri Rupert. Our son also had a grape juice that he said tasted like there was honey in it (future wine connoisseur in the making). Bottom line the atmosphere and service were excellent and the wine is definitely worth a side trip from Luxembourg...

Good selection of wines and interesting location facing the Mosel river and valley thanks to the glass walls installed in the restaurant. However the service is rather poor. The young lady introducing the wines was approaching customers in a rude way when questions were asked. The old lady instead asked us to lower our voices but failed to understand that when you have a table with 17 people is normal to have some noise, after all you we did not come to a church! We found very misleading the price list given to us on the table: that s the price you pay for the bottles you take away with you. If you order those same bottles to consume in the restaurant you get almost double price but nobody tells you that until you get the bill!! The pool outside was also rather dirty honestly, looked like a fishing pond and is way far from the images you see online. Will...

We wanted to love this place… We even paid a lot to rent a car just to drive to the winery because we wanted to show our visitor the beautiful wine country in Luxembourg. We had heard great reviews from friends but actually had a terrible time. We had multiple servers who repeatedly forgot our orders (we had to ask many times for a taste or glass of wine or a small plate of cheese). We intended to stay for the evening with bottles of wine, but were actually so frustrated that we left. However when we tried to even split the bill we were met with total hostility and an incorrect total that we had to go to great lengths to correct. While the wine was fantastic, we will - unfortunately - absolutely...

We caught a public bus from Luxembourg city to make this visit and it was absolutely worth it even though we had a bit of rain on the way there! The rieslings were incredible, and so were the views from the dining room. On a warmer day, I have no doubts the terrace would be amazing to have a few drinks on. We did the 6 wine tasting and the pours were in line with expectations (not disappointing). The flammkuchen was very tasty and the crust was thin (just perfect). The rieslings were so good we had to order additional by the glass and the price per glass was very reasonable.

We have been here for a quick visit in the afternoon over the weekend. The place was not crowdy, which was positive, the ambiente inside was very nice & the view from the terrace was awesome. We decided to stay on the terrace and did not regret it for a single minute. The waiter was polite, but with all respect not my cup of tea, that´s why not a full 5* rating. We were 3 persons, the folks went for wine tasting combo and small cheese plate, I went for a coffee and grape juice. All drinks & food were very good. All check & anytime again

Beautiful hideaway in the vineyards just a 15 - 20 min walk away from Schengen city centre. We went there to try some Crémant and grab a bite and it was quite good. Vegetarian menu selection is expandable but we were offered a veggie version of the Flammkuchen to make up for the vegetarian plate which was not available. Service was nice and attentive, scenery and venue were beautiful.
