(Detailed review below) Ambiance ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Accessibility ⭐⭐⭐ Cost ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Service ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I came here for the Borneo Jazz Festival so my experience is limited to the arrangements set up by the festival organisers (e.g. the compound is restricted to ticket holders, food and drinks stalls were dotted around but mainly centred at the Seahorse Stage) and this may not be the case under normal circumstances.

The main building/venue is a beautiful two-floors wooden building with ornate wood carvings throughout (I’ve been told they were done by Indonesian artists). It has a central mezzanine so those on the floor above could look down onto the stage. The top floor was set up with stalls selling local arts and crafts wares, a bar selling alcoholic beverages and also the VIP area. Overall, the design is spacious with high ceilings and open doorways to allow for a good airflow and keep the place cool.

The Seahorse Stage is an outdoor venue located just further along from the main venue (at the tip of this reclaimed parcel of land) and served beautifully as the backdrop to sunset performances (the Sarawak Symphony Orchestra did a fantastic job here!).

In general, it was pretty well kept and maintained and is certainly a great venue for the Borneo Jazz Festival.

Tip: This location offers stunning sunsets. Next to the public car park is a grassy knoll with benches to enjoy the spectacular views of the...

Coco Cabana is a top tourist attraction in the city center of Miri. Known for its beautiful sunset views, it is the perfect spot to end the day. The place offers a range of entertainment options such as children playgrounds and bouncing castles, making it a great option for families. Additionally, there's a unique event space, ideal for family day or small gathering.

The overall ambiance is beautiful, the view and the setting makes it a great spot to take in the sunset while enjoying a refreshing drink. With its wide range of activities and facilities, Coco Cabana is a great option for those looking for a fun and unique experience in Miri. With kind, friendly and scraping staffs, guests are sure to have a memorable experience at...

I went almost mid day on a Saturday, there were some people but not many. As you enter, stalls (weren't open then), carparks tracks for maybe, gokarts (it was closed then), a restaurant that was just opening but they already had the drinks for sale (photo has menu), bubble tea stall, some pop up stalls, the beautiful wooden structure but it was closed for a wedding, toilets, surau, the seahorse statue and there were 2 food truck also not opened and a whole row of pangkin (wooden platform that is segregated for a group per area).

There is no beach but rock revetment. The water is teh tarik as to be expected by the coast 😅.

The pangkins are under the Casaurina trees so it was shaded during mid day. But they are in need of some TLC. If you wanna sit there, bring some mats and you'd be pretty comfy.

Would definitely go back with some mats during mid day to read. Great place to unwind when it is...

📍Coco Cabana, Miri Located at Miri's Marina Bay, this location became an instant hit amongst locals and tourist. Next to the sea, it makes for a very picturesque location; swings are in abundance, with handcrafted wooden furniture displayed. Sea-breeze caresses you as you stroll under the shade of the towering trees. In middle of this spot is an iconic Miri Sea-Horse. Michelle and I were really lucky when we came; it was drizzling, which deterred most people from going out. We had the swings all to ourselves! (it's usually extremely crowded, since it's a hot tourist spot!) Have a drink at the Sunset Bistro. A little on the pricier side, what makes the experience worth is the intricately designed wooden interiors, and the view of the sea. Just chilling by the sea-side has its charm. This is a spot not to be missed, should you be in Miri 🌊
