The place was clean and not so crowded. You can just roam around #nature there. There are many trees, #flowers and animal like #monkeys. They will grab your food so be alert when you carry food with you. Good place to #jog around. Feel the real #nature here. No #noise, no #pollution. Only #peace. The #parking is free, #Entry is free. You can reach there with #GRAB but it's a struggle to get InDrive or Grab there when you want to return back. There are limited #Indian & #chinese cafes and everything is a bit #expensive there. Here are some photos that i captured there. Enjoy 💚💚. . . . detailed review -: The Penang Botanic Gardens offer a lovely escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Having visited recently, I wanted to share my experience. Atmosphere: The gardens are undeniably beautiful, with lush greenery, diverse plant life, and tranquil waterfalls. The overall atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing, perfect for a leisurely stroll or a picnic. It's a great place to connect with nature and enjoy some fresh air. Parking: Parking can be a bit challenging, especially on weekends and public holidays. The available parking spaces near the entrance tend to fill up quickly. Consider arriving early or be prepared to park a little further away and walk. Entry Fee/Tickets: Good news! Entry to the Penang Botanic Gardens is currently free, which is a major plus. This makes it an accessible attraction for everyone. Food: There are a few food stalls and vendors within the gardens, offering light snacks and drinks. However, the selection can be limited. If you're planning to spend a longer time there, it might be a good idea to pack your own food and drinks, especially if you have specific dietary needs. There are also restaurants outside the garden, which can be a good option before or after your visit. Pros: Free Entry: A huge advantage, making it accessible to all. Beautiful Scenery: The gardens are well-maintained and offer stunning views. Diverse Flora: A wide variety of plants to see and learn about. Peaceful Atmosphere: A great place to relax and escape the city noise. Photo Opportunities: Plenty of picturesque spots for photos. Cons: Parking: Can be difficult to find parking, especially during peak hours. Limited Food Options: The food available within the gardens is somewhat limited. Crowds: Can get crowded, especially on weekends and public holidays. This can impact the tranquil atmosphere. Maintenance (Minor): While generally well-maintained, I noticed some areas could use a little more attention. Overall: The Penang Botanic Gardens are definitely worth a visit. Despite the parking and food challenges, the beauty and tranquility of the gardens make it a must-see attraction in Penang. I recommend visiting on a weekday if possible to avoid the crowds. Bring your own snacks and drinks, and be prepared for potentially limited parking. Despite the minor cons, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful...

Visit to the Botanical Garden: A Reflection Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting a beautiful botanical garden, and the experience left me feeling incredibly uplifted and relaxed. This garden is not only a treasure of nature but also an ideal place for families of all sizes to spend quality time together. A Comfortable Environment As soon as I stepped into the botanical garden, the fresh air and vibrant colours of the flowers instantly brightened my mood. The winding paths were lined with lush greenery and a variety of plants, making me feel as though I had entered a dreamlike world. Sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting dappled shadows that added a touch of poetry to the surroundings. Suitable for All Ages This botanical garden is particularly well-suited for family visits; there is something for everyone, from young children to adults. Kids can run freely on the grass, exploring different types of plants, while adults can quietly enjoy the beauty of nature or share precious moments with family and friends. There are also resting areas throughout the garden where visitors can stop to enjoy packed snacks and savour the tranquillity. Education and Inspiration In addition to its stunning scenery, the botanical garden offers a wealth of educational resources. Many areas feature informative signs that introduce various plants and their growing conditions, deepening my understanding of the natural world. This not only expanded my knowledge but also sparked reflections on environmental conservation and sustainability. Conclusion In summary, my visit to the botanical garden was an unforgettable and delightful experience. It allowed me to appreciate the wonders of nature while providing a perfect platform for family gatherings. I look forward to returning to this beautiful place and highly recommend it as a relaxing and thought-provoking destination...

The Penang Botanical Gardens is one of the most refreshing spots to escape into nature while still being close to the city. It’s a beautifully landscaped area with wide open lawns, shaded walking paths, and a mix of curated gardens and wild greenery.

🌿 Nature & Scenery The gardens are spacious and well-maintained, featuring a variety of plants including orchids, ferns, palms, and unique tropical trees. Some areas, like the lily ponds and fountain gardens, are perfect for a slow, relaxing stroll. There are also small waterfalls and streams, which add a natural charm to the setting. The Understorey Florarium is an interesting stop if you enjoy learning about local plant species.

🦜 Wildlife As you walk around, you’ll likely spot plenty of monkeys and squirrels. The monkeys can be cheeky, so it’s best not to carry food openly or get too close. Bird sounds fill the air, adding to the tranquil atmosphere.

🚶 Walking & Hiking There are several trails that connect to nearby hills and forest areas, making this a good starting point for longer hikes if you’re up for it. Otherwise, the paved paths are comfortable for a casual walk, even with family or kids.

🌸 Atmosphere The overall vibe is peaceful, though weekends can get crowded with joggers, families, and tourists. Mornings are the best time to visit for cooler weather and fewer crowds.

💰 Entry & Accessibility Entry is free, which makes this an incredible value. It’s also accessible for wheelchairs and strollers in the main areas, though some trails are more rugged. Parking is available near the entrance.

✨ Overall A must-visit in Penang if you enjoy nature. It’s not only a botanical garden but also a blend of manicured beauty and wild rainforest edge. Perfect for a walk, photography, or just to enjoy fresh air away from...

A wonderfully natural and super lush tropical botanical garden. There is NO ENTRANCE FEE at the Penang tropical garden as well. Uniquely different from the equally excellent KL and Singapore tropical gardens. This garden is a more natural, more lush, and not nearly as well manicured garden as either the KL garden or the Singapore gardens. That is precisely its charm! There are loads of trails winding through various displays and presentations. Walkers, hikers, and joggers seem to enjoy the multitude of trails. Monkeys are EVERYWHERE. There are displays of herb gardens, orchid gardens, fern displays, aeroid trails, and much more. The original gardens were established in 1884 from an old quarry site, under the supervision of Charles Curtis, who was the first superintendent, making it one of the oldest botanic gardens built by the British in a colonial settlement. Penang Botanic Gardens is part of Penang Hill Biosphere Reserve, recognized by UNESCO as the third Biosphere Reserve in Malaysia listed in the World Network of Biosphere Reserve (WNBR).[2] Currently, 12-2024, there is construction of a cable car system taking place, which limits access at the very beginning of the road leading into the garden. Restrooms 🚻 are limited. Handicap doable in many areas. Some areas are paved roughly and might present issues for those who are unsteady at walking.. Final take...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Be prepared to gain elevation as this garden winds uphill through super lush tropical canyons. There is a restaurant serving fresh coconut near the entrance. A total godsend after a day exploring these wonderful gardens.
