Pros: Free entry and parking, mostly satisfactory facilities, easy access to hiking trails, ranger staff on duty, a few stalls open for visitors.

Cons: Some facilities are in urgent need of repair and renewal. Many of the hiking trails are either overgrown with brush, weeds, fallen logs and branches.

To access the hiking trails, just march past all the public waterfalls and pools, and ascend the concrete steps into the forest.

While it is possible to hike from here to Bukit Bendera, it is not an easy one. This is because the trails are not well maintained, and some of them aren't at all well-marked. Even careful hikers can get lost if they're not careful here.

It is hoped that whoever is in charge of trail maintenence here to really clear some of the brush, cut away the logs, and restore some of the broken signage.

Would be good if authorities could get in touch with local hiker groups to collaborate on this, because it's not a bad...

If u're looking for nature but don't want to explore outside of penang island, this is the place. Free parking. There's a museum but it was closed, maybe it was on cny break. I heard the ticket is very affordable at RM1 only. There are various pools to go to ranging from deep to shallow. From my shot, i went to the furthest pool which was shallow. In the shallow pool, the floor was covered with coarse sand instead of pebble. So, it's advisable to use rubber slippers/sandals if u don't want to hurt ur feet. There was food stall but i didn't get a closer look. The toilet/bathroom i went was near the entrance. Beware that toilet business is 50 cents while bathing/changing clothes is RM1. The...

A good place to have a "touch " with nature. There is a small water fall here and the place is relatively clean. Entrance is free and there is ample parking here. Parking is free. There is a Rapid Penang bus from Komtar, George Town that stops at entopia, a five minute walk to entrance of taman rimba. There is also a hiking trail, there trail is well kept and well marked and it leads to Penang hill. Expect a 10km++ hike one way if you are hiking till...

Clean & clear water, clean bathroom, there's lots of parking space if you come early. We arrived at 8AM and greeted this pakcik whether this place has open or closed because no one else there 🤣 Pay RM1 to change clothes and another 30sen if you use the loo. Tried swimmed but the water was too cold and auto get simpul biawak lah hahaha. Friendly staff, I think they clean the place everyday because I can barely found rubbish.
