I have to give this place and their employees a thumbs up. Having been a frequent visit to Escape over the past 8 years (5 visits prior), this was the first time I tried Base Camp. In case you didn't know what it is, basically, it is camping on site - just beside the water park. There is access through a small bridge near the salt water pool and also the shower area. I made reservation at their official website e-ticket to get a promo code for best price. Was ready to bring my wife and 2 kids. It was our first camping trip, so I tried contacting them and the only way is through email. I did get all questions answered but only one concern was that there were no longer any air mattress provided - I later found out that there were still available, but will no longer be replaced once damaged. On to the first day, we arrived at 10:30am, and parked our car just beside our tent. Can't put anything in it yet as staff are still cleaning up tent from previous day's guest. But we can still go ahead to start changing and enjoy the park. I won't review about the park because they are all true and as good as they say from all the other reviews. What I can say is that Base Camp gives you 2 days of entry, that is totally worth it. One day is just not enough with all the queues. Especially at this period nearing to end of school holiday. After finish having fun at park, it was already about 6pm. Time to unload, clean up and prepare for our BBQ. Yes, everything is prepared for. You don't have to worry about the fire pit, they will setup fire for you...don't rush. Even tables will be setup. All you need to bring is the bbq food, plates and utensils. We had quite a blast. As the sun set and turns dark, I was surprised that there were no insects. No mosquito...nothing, but I won't risk trying to keep my tent open. Inside the tent can get a little hot at first, but around close to midnight, you can start to feel the cold breeze. We brought our own battery powered fan to last us entire night. Sleep wise, not an issue for me and the kids. They slept soundly after a full day of fun. Another point is that there is solar light post everywhere. It's not dark at all. There is light everywhere and the guard sitting at the post watching over the entire night. Talk about strict security. You can also choose to leave basecamp anytime nevertheless. Just inform security, the will let you out. Toilet access is always open. Next morning, one of the air mattress deflated but my kid didn't let us know. The staff then told that we could just let security or staff know, they would have changed it. One person I would really like to highlight is the staff by name of Sumon. He is probably the best employee working in Escape. I see him working from morning till night. Inside and outside the park. I guess he really enjoys his job. That night I wanted to get ice for drinks and he really help out to get ice at grocery store. This is a great example of staff going beyond the call of duty to ensure best customer satisfaction. Overall, my family and I had a great time at Escape. We will definitely go again during next holiday and probably bring our elders too. Here are a few tips: 1) Might want to bring your own charcoal as firewood burn out really fast. Also bring a small portable table stove if you intent to boil water. 2) Bring your pillow and comforter. 3) Ice box.... you might want ice after a hot bbq. 4) Future, bring your own air mattress or sleeping bag. Bcos there is no guarantee they will have.

the park is split to dry and wet park. from my experience, i would recommend to go in swimsuit but do the dry activities first then eat lunch and do the wet activities. i wouldn't recommend to do the zip coaster unless the queue is very short because it take very long and wastes a lot of time. the longest waterslide had very short queue for most of the time and it is quite fun so i would recommend to do it a few times if you have extra time. for monkey business, if you aren't that scared of height and are decently fit you should try level 3 because it really isn't that hard as it seems and if you go to lvl 1 and 2 there might be a lot of slower ppl in front of you and then you will have to wait which is a waste of time. even if you go to lvl 3, u should try to go to the path with no ppl so you could keep going without waiting. tubby racers was also quite fun especially the first part where it goes quite fast. the queue for this ride also is quite short for most of the time. and you should tie your shoes tight because the shoe of the person in front of me went flying and i have no clue if he got it back😬 . the rest of the water activities such as normal waterslide, kid pool, inflatable obstacle course(very fun) was quite fun too. another thing is that for the zip coaster, longest waterslide, and tubby racer, you need to take a chairlift up the mountain which takes about 3 mins-ish. and it usually has a short queue. for the zip coaster you need to queue and wear a harness first at the bottom of the crossover stairs then take a chairlift up to the starting point where you might have to queue again. and for the longest waterslide, you need to carry your tubby and queue for the chairlift then hold it as you go up the chairlift. but for tubby racers you dont need to hold anything just go up the chairlift. to be honest there are so many attractions and rides i want to try but didn't have enough time even though i came from 10am-6pm(the whole operation hours)so you should really plan your trip well and if the queue for a certain ride is too long, just go do something else first and come back later, its not worth the wait(i waited 2 hours for zip coaster and it wasnt worth it 😭) hopefully this review help you!❀ _________________________________________________________ ok this is part 2 of this review this is my second time at escape penang. activities i would recommend and definitely go again (in order of which one to go first when the park open for quicker queue) -monkey business -flying lemur -carpet swing thingy -tubby racer -longest water slide (go multiple times if got time) -water slides -dead sea/kids play area

✹Tips for First-Time Visitors✹ 1. What to Bring: Make sure to pack an aqua shoe, mosquito repellent, sunscreen, shower toiletries, and a bath towel. Or you can rent them. You can also bring bottled drinks, biscuits, or crackers, but keep them in a locker since food and drinks aren’t allowed in the wet and dry areas. 2. Tickets: Plan ahead and purchase your tickets in advance—the earlier you buy, the cheaper they’ll be. Avoid buying tickets on the day of your visit. Also, register your selfie photo via the link emailed to you for facial recognition at the autogate. Aim to arrive by 9:45 AM, as weekends can get crowded. 3. Lockers: After passing through the autogate, you’ll find a row of lockers. Small lockers are located at the front, while larger ones are directly behind them. Locker rental costs RM 10 per day with unlimited access. Payment via card or e-wallet is accepted. It will be better if people are more aware with the signage, cos the locker are close to the shower room. We have female patron at the locker area where the male area. 4. Getting a Harness: Head to the left side to get your harness, then climb the stairs and walk across to collect it. 5. Dry Area Attractions: Start with the dry activities. We recommend taking the Chairlift to the top and enjoying attractions such as the Zip Coaster (1.1 km), Tubby Racer, Flying Lemur, Kite Flyer, and Monkey Business (which has three levels of difficulty). 6. Lunch Break: Take a break with the snacks you brought, or choose from TeaLive, Happy Potato, or A&W. 7. Continue Exploring: After lunch, try more dry area activities like Acrobat and Gecko Climb. When you’re done with the dry zone, return the harness at the same spot where you picked it up. 8. Water Activities: Don’t miss the Longest Water Slide! Walk to the wet area near the lockers, grab a float, and take the Chairlift to the top. One ride should be enough, as it takes about two minutes to slide down. 9. Exploring the Wet Area: Afterward, explore the wet zone attractions, such as the new Dead Sea Pool. The queues here are usually shorter, so there’s no rush. It’s best to enjoy this area in the late afternoon when the sun isn’t as intense. 10. Wrapping Up: Once you’ve finished all the activities, freshen up with a shower, change into dry clothes, and head out. Escape Theme Park is highly recommended for a fun and adventurous day. Leave any grumpiness at home—this place is for fun-loving visitors only!

Unleashing Adventure and Nature at ESCAPE Penang: A Must-Visit Destination for All Ages

If you’re looking for an exhilarating, family-friendly adventure in Malaysia, ESCAPE Penang is nothing short of spectacular. Nestled in the lush greenery of Teluk Bahang, this award-winning outdoor theme park has masterfully blended the thrill of physical adventure with the beauty of nature, making it one of the most memorable destinations I’ve experienced.

A Perfect Blend of Nature and Fun

From the moment you enter ESCAPE Penang, you’re greeted not by towering concrete structures but by a refreshing expanse of trees, fresh air, and cleverly designed eco-friendly attractions. The park champions sustainability, with minimal impact on the natural landscape—making it feel less like an amusement park and more like a vibrant playground in the jungle.

Record-Breaking Attractions

The highlight? Without a doubt, the world’s longest tube water slide, which stretches over 1,100 meters and winds down through the rainforest like a lazy river on steroids. It’s a surreal, adrenaline-pumping experience that you simply won’t find anywhere else. Another standout is the Zip Coaster, which combines the thrill of zip-lining with rollercoaster dynamics, giving you an airborne view of the lush canopy below.

Activities for Every Age and Fitness Level

What sets ESCAPE apart is its broad appeal. There are activities for toddlers, teens, adults, and even seniors. The Kidz Zone is perfect for young adventurers, with miniature versions of the park’s signature challenges. Meanwhile, the Gravity Play and Adventureplay sections cater to more daring guests with activities like rope courses, obstacle walls, and high swings.

Whether you’re conquering the Atan’s Leap—a heart-stopping free-fall jump—or enjoying the more leisurely Tubby Racer, every attraction is designed to be inclusive, safe, and, most importantly, fun.

Top-Notch Safety and Hospitality

Staff professionalism and safety protocols are another reason ESCAPE stands out. Every attraction is managed by well-trained, friendly staff who ensure that safety procedures are followed without compromising the fun. Equipment is meticulously maintained, and the guides are always ready to assist or offer encouragement.

Great Amenities and Accessibility

ESCAPE Penang doesn’t skimp on comfort, either. There are clean restrooms, plenty of shaded resting spots, lockers, and food stalls that offer surprisingly good local and Western fare. The entire park is thoughtfully designed to accommodate families, groups, and solo adventurers alike.

Eco-Conscious and Educational

What impressed me most is ESCAPE’s underlying mission—to encourage physical activity and reconnect people with the natural world. It’s more than just a park; it’s a philosophy. Children learn about teamwork, adults rediscover their sense of play, and everyone leaves with a deeper appreciation for the outdoors.

Final Verdict: 5 Stars

Whether you’re a thrill-seeker, a nature lover, or just someone looking for a break from the ordinary, ESCAPE Penang delivers an unforgettable experience. It’s more than a theme park—it’s a celebration of nature, movement, and joy. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting Penang or even Malaysia. Make sure to set aside an entire day—you won’t...

the park is split to dry and wet park. from my experience, i would recommend to go in swimsuit but do the dry activities first then eat lunch and do the wet activities. i wouldn't recommend to do the zip coaster unless the queue is very short because it take very long and wastes a lot of time. the longest waterslide had very short queue for most of the time and it is quite fun so i would recommend to do it a few times if you have extra time. for monkey business, if you aren't that scared of height and are decently fit you should try level 3 because it really isn't that hard as it seems and if you go to lvl 1 and 2 there might be a lot of slower ppl in front of you and then you will have to wait which is a waste of time. even if you go to lvl 3, u should try to go to the path with no ppl so you could keep going without waiting. tubby racers was also quite fun especially the first part where it goes quite fast. the queue for this ride also is quite short for most of the time. and you should tie your shoes tight because the shoe of the person in front of me went flying and i have no clue if he got it back😬 . the rest of the water activities such as normal waterslide, kid pool, inflatable obstacle course(very fun) was quite fun too. another thing is that for the zip coaster, longest waterslide, and tubby racer, you need to take a chairlift up the mountain which takes about 3 mins-ish. and it usually has a short queue. for the zip coaster you need to queue and wear a harness first at the bottom of the crossover stairs then take a chairlift up to the starting point where you might have to queue again. and for the longest waterslide, you need to carry your tubby and queue for the chairlift then hold it as you go up the chairlift. but for tubby racers you dont need to hold anything just go up the chairlift. to be honest there are so many attractions and rides i want to try but didn't have enough time even though i came from 10am-6pm(the whole operation hours)so you should really plan your trip well and if the queue for a certain ride is too long, just go do something else first and come back later, its not worth the wait(i waited 2 hours for zip coaster and it wasnt worth it 😭)

hopefully this review help you!❀ ok this is part 2 of this review this is my second time at escape penang.
