before reading further, please note that this club is CART PATH ONLY!!!! I REPEAT CART PATH ONLY!!!!
Not too sure how we missed the memo before booking but learning it was cart path only after teeing off on the first hole really rained on our parade.
We paid RM430 pp before caddy fees on a Saturday.
Course condition: 3.5/5 For a cart path only course, I expected better fairways and grass condition. It was acceptable at best but not what I would expect from one of the more reputable golf clubs in the area. Greens were fast but not natural grass fast. It was fake hard floor underneath fast. Enjoyed the island holes and hole 18 was very interesting. But I only wish the water was not an ugly brown. Some of the holes felt abit repetitive after awhile.
Golf cart: 4/5 Nothing to cry about. It was the normal cart standard. Cleanliness was so-so. There were egg shells in the middle storing area… a previous flight had hard boiled eggs? Lol.
Caddy: 4/5 I didn’t get our caddy’s name but she was decent and very lovely. She tried to help find our balls that got lost in the trees. Would have been far easier if the club allowed us to drive the cart up to have a look instead.
Clubhouse: 4/5 Decent clubhouse. Showers were nice and clean and locker room looked modern. My only complaint was the water pressure but could just be the cubicle I was using.
Pro shop: ?/5 Transview pro shop at this course. We didn’t have time to look around and by the time we finished our round it was closed. Tried to purchase UV sleeves but they were out of stock. Had a good selection of putters and gear. Can’t rate because didn’t look around enough. Pro shop staff seemed nice though.
Overall experience: 6/10 Would I come back again? Maybe. But definitely not paying weekend rates for this. Cart path only definitely makes me dread this a lot more than I would have wanted to. On a hot blazing day this would be everyone’s nightmare. I believe they can improve the grass conditions. I checked the price online again before typing this review and on their website it’s now RM555 (excluding caddy fee) pp. For that price you may as well head to their competition down the road and play a much better maintained course for a similar or even...

Registration process- Located on 2nd floor, extra effort for male golfers as male changing room is located on 1st floor while female changing room is on 2nd floor near the registration counter. Registration is a bit manual and golfers are required to fill up a physical form. 3/5 due to need to go different levels.
Parking - Ample and safe as car park is near clubhouse and have people passing by frequently. But no shaded lots. Staff are ready to drive a buggy to pick and send you to the car from bag drop. 4/5 due to value added service in providing transport to and from bag drop to car park.
Bag drop - Prompt and quick service. 3/5 due to standard bag drop.
Changing room facilities - Respectable, clean and spacious. 4/5 due to well maintained facilities.
Buggy - Basic and well maintained with no worries that it will break down halfway the game. This is a BUGGY ON TRACK ONLY course. 3/5 due to standard working buggy.
Course conditions - Well maintained and caddies are diligent in fixing divots and taking the sand bunkers. Fairways do remain a bit soggy if it rained the day before. Greens can be quite fast. 7/10
Course layout - Challenging and requires lots of mental agility and planning ahead. Presents lots of fun for intermediate golfers, but will be very tiring for beginners. Greens are fast, and mishits will be rewarded with overshoots and more strokes added to your scorecard. 7/10 due to being a course that is fun to play and not the typical 'just hit it far and straight courses'.
Service staff from reception to clubhouse to post game are friendly and do their job well. Special call out for the experienced caddies such as Assam, great tips and service. 5/5 due to genuine service.
Overall: 36/50 Will I play...
Read moreI love the hospitality. When i drop my golf bag, the staff will come to my car and pick me up to the club house with a buggy
I love when i finished play, the same person pick my bag, send me to my car and help me put my golf bag into the car boot
I love the fairway. It feels like the ball is on a carpet. So it felt easier for the ball to go up. However, on 2/10/2020 the course is quite wet. And i lost 2,3 balls due to plugged situation
The bunker is taken care of nicely
I saw a course supritendant measure the green with some kind of device that your put it into the ground.
However the 2/10/2020 condition make the greenspeed 10. It does not fast. I'm quite dissapointed with the green because i love a fast green. It is easier to read a fast green for me.
The course is forgiving. It is not narrow. the only thing that will ruin your game (koyak) is too much slice or too much draw.
I play on weekdays rate. RM124.70 for 9 holes. Btw i play on the first nine. I am very thankfull to the caddy. She is very helpfull. Her name is Firah. I hope the tip that i gave her satisfy her. Btw it is her first day at horizon hills on that friday.
I like the facilities. So many friendly people. The rest room is excellent. Worth my time and money.
You can get a great deals on secondhand clubs and wood at transview golf. Yet i used taylormade 4 hybrid burner that i bought from this store. It really help my game a lot.
HGCC provide us with affordable price with buggy and caddy. It is worth to play here. I shall return...
