I went here last week with my family. Nice place to learn about kites in Malaysia. Here I learned that we actually held international kite competitions every year but there was set back for the past two year due to covid. They will held 25th competition next year in February! Read moreFormerly a windmill, the Pasir Gudang City Council has transformed the building into Malaysia's first Kite Museum. Entry prices are very cheap at RM 2 for adults but the museum (like all museums in Malaysia) could have been curated better.
Plenty of interesting factoids that could have been presented better. The design and overall look feels somewhat dated, tired and unattractive to the foreign eye.

Read moreArrived slightly after 1pm on a Saturday - shutters closed, saw that it is their break time. Went to the two playgrounds in front of the museum, then bought bubble liquid and borrowed bubble wands from a stall at the carpark to play (RM 2 to 5 depending on how much liquid you need). Back to the museum entrance at 2:30pm, still closed! Their Facebook page has no announcement of closure on that day. Disappointed that we did not...
