The waterfall is ok but the access to this place from bukit saga hilltop or from the tasman saga in ampang is all but easy. Nothing even close to a Sunday stroll. We had excellent weather when we did it and despite that the place was extremely slippery and very very steep. Not the kind of place where you want to take children and definitely make sure you wear excellent hiking shoes when going there. Flat ground is non existent. You either climb very steep slopes without stairs but few ropes to hang on to or you descend the same. Takes a good 2 hours one way from taman saga in ampang to reach the waterfall provided you are at least moderately fit. Won't go back there and definitely don't recommend this...

Good waterfall with chilling water, bring food n water supply if u want to go there as it will take u a while, I do not recommend to come from bukit saga as the route is steep n slipery you will need to hike a very narrow trail with the help of rope and one stage where you need to slowly get through a steep n slipery big rock rock, choose to go through apek Hill Station 5 where the route is better however I do not recommend to bring kids as they are hard to go through the steep slope with fallen trees before you reach...

(UPDATE: The trail from Taman Saga is now closed til further notice due to the construction of SUKE Highway. Do not attempt to Saga peak hike from here as some have been reportedly arrested by police/local authority. Trail from Cheras remains open)

Started at Taman Saga - Average of 2 hours hike to waterfall. There will be rock climbing and log crossing to the waterfall. Quite challenging for beginners but achievable. Awesome place for nature lovers and it's within Kuala Lumpur. No entrance fee or...

Upon reaching the peak of Saga, you will need to go on about 1km to the waterfall, and the last 200m of the trail is way more challenging than the initial hike towards the peak... It is like totally 30 degree sudden downhill steep trail. Although there are ropes for you to have a better grip to go down, but still it is a challenging trail to go on if you are beginner hiker. Afterall, it is still worth to hike till there to enjoy the cold waterfall (P/S standing nearing the waterfall even feel colder)

I came back for hiking here for the first time since 2017 due to the highway construction. Bukit SAGA is simply amazing and I will come to hike again. The forest should be protected from any development. Hiking is the best activity for fitness improvement and relaxing our mind from the busy City. Surely, I will be coming with the friends of mine. Thank you for the Hikers communities who are looking after the Hill. I suggested to come early in the morning to enjoy the trail and waterfall.
