A well-maintained forest that is a great place for people looking for a workout while hiking. At the foot of the hill, parking is aplenty as you'l be parking on the roadside by a condo development project. The journey up is full of steps. The place can be full of leeches during the rainy season (it's their home anyways so they're very friendly as long as you're friendly to them!). Overall, it takes about 40 minutes - 1.5 hours (depending on your fitness level) to reach the peak.
On the hilltop, you can see just how strong the community spirit is. The place is managed by the Bukit Saga Hiking Community and they have prepared many amenities for people who make it to the top, such as an outdoor gym, water refilling stations (who volunteer hikers voluntarily carry up for the sake of everyone), as well as a toilet. Read moreWe can reach this Bukit Saga hilltop via 2 trails from Taman Saga, Trail A and C. Trail B is now closed due to construction. Alternatively, we can hike up via the Bukit Apek trail. Proceed from the Bukit Apek hilltop (Station 6). This trail is much longer than the Saga A and C trails. The trails up this hill are of moderate difficulty and they are well-marked and well-trodden.
