Kilim River Tourism Jetty — Attraction in Kedah

Kilim River Jetty is the starting point for the famous Kilim Karst Geoforest Park tours, and it’s well-organized and easy to access. Went there on Friday, I bought a ticket at the counter for RM 300 for 2 hours for private boat. It felt quite expensive to me considering the route is nearby. We only spent about 2 minutes getting to the bat cave from the jetty. If you plan to do a mangrove tour, it's better to buy the ticket at Tanjung Rhu where the route is longer and you can visit Gorilla Mountain. It's also cheaper there, at only RM 250 per...

Haben über TripAdvisor hier eine 6 stündige Tour durch die Mangroven gebucht per Boot. Wir sind selbständig mit dem scooter angereist und dennoch habe ich eine WhatsApp Nachricht erhalten ob wir nicht doch geholt werden sollen - das fande ich unglaublich aufmerksam. Genauso als wir am Treffpunkt etwas planlos ankamen, kamen sofort Mitarbeiter auf und uns zu & haben gefragt wohin wir gehören und uns alles weitere erklärt. Die Tour selber war wirklich super inkl. Schlangen, verschiedenen Affen, Fledermäusen und Adlern. Des Weiteren hat uns der guide immer wieder darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass Tourismus auch Schattenseiten hat zB das Adler füttern. Dieses wird vom Kilim Tourism auch nicht unterstützt - den Ort fährt man dennoch an und kann die Adler beobachten. Manchmal ist einem das als Tourist natürlich nicht wirklich bewusst und ich finde es gut, dass er uns darauf aufmerksam gemacht hat. Das gemeinsame Mittagessen auf dem schwimmenden Restaurant war wirklich eines der Highlights. Die Menschen vor Ort waren einfach super super lieb und haben sich über jeden gefreut.
