Good place to go for history learning.

They say the well doesnt dry up despite years of it being there. Well, after many yesrs, visits and crowds, d water does seem to not dry up.. this is also a personal opinion by me since i went there wen i was alread at age 7.

The place has changed abit but relatively to accomodate traffic flow. Years back, d place is quite crowded and small due to d small roads and limited moving spaces.

Enough bout d location but more on this place itself. It is known by hearsay that this is place where Hang Tuah was born n raised. A legendary figure, as notified by some, jz a folk lore. But to some extend, i believe that he was actually a real human who had undergone special training and protected Melaka with all his might during the Sultan's regime.

You can get urslf wet and also grab a bottle of water home.. but to on truth be told, lets not get too carried away on its legend. And moving on, u cn actually see a musuem dedicated to him and his friends.....

The Hang Tuah well is located in the town of his birthplace, Kampung Duyung. According to folklore, the great man himself had dug the well for his own personal use. After he had passed away, it is said that the well has become the dwelling of his spirit, which took on the form of a white crocodile. It is also believed that the albino crocodile cannot be seen by just anyone; only the holy and the pure-hearted ever get the opportunity to catch a glimpse of it.

Another mystical aspect to the Hang Tuah well is that its water remains clear even after all these years, which is said to never dry up, even during long periods of drought. The locals believe that the well’s water contains special healing properties, able to cure all sorts of ailments. It was also said that the well used to be much smaller in size originally, and that it had grown over time.

The well was declared as a historical monument under the Antiquities Act on 29...

A must visit place. A historical site that is absolutely mandatory and essential for anyone coming from outside Melaka. Because the villagers are very friendly and kind. In front of Hang Tuah well, there is an aunt selling Melaka souvenirs and goods. Don't forget to enter Mr. Yusof@Pak Usop's house. A home that will evoke memories of childhood and the past. Usop is also a masseuse . Mr. Usop also has a spacious motel, suitable for a large family of about 10-15 people. Depends on comfort. Park right in front of the door. The atmosphere is the best, just like before. When we arrived at the museum, xdp entered because there was a party. Hang Tuah Well - Free Water bottle - RM0.50-5.00 (5 liters) Mr. Usop's house - RM3.00/person Traditional massage - RM50.00 (depending on massage type) and cupping are...

Location 5 Located at not so busy area. The entrance is free. Facilities 5 Car & bus parking is provided but not so many. I came here on Sunday & easy to get a parking. Usually, people will spend 15 - 30 minutes here as nothing much to visit. A Hang Tuah's Well and a storyboard of the history. Surau is just nearby. The Hang Tuah museum has been moved to Perkampungan Hang Tuah, just a few meters from here. Gift Shops 5 There is a gift shops & food stalls with good price bargains. There's also a local cafe which sells fried foods. Other recommendation If you come to visit here, don't forget to drop by Perkampungan Hang Tuah. It's worth place to visit.

See and visit historical traces at Hang Tuah well. Clean and well maintained conditions and environment. Parking is provided for cars and tourist buses. There are also massage and cupping services done by villagers for tourists who are interested or want to try, the price offered is very worthwhile. In addition, there is Hang Tuah village but it is still in the process of recovery. There are also stalls selling various types of handicrafts, souvenirs, accessories and selling traditional Melaka food. "Melaka is a historic city"
