Batu Bersurat Belanda (Dutch Inscription Stone) at Pulau Pangkor is a historical artifact dating back to the Dutch colonial period in Malaysia. Here are some trivia about it:

Historical Significance – The stone is believed to date back to the 1700s when the Dutch established a tin mining settlement and a fort (Kota Belanda) on Pulau Pangkor.

Dutch Inscription – The rock contains inscriptions in Dutch, which commemorate the Dutch presence on the island and possibly mark a significant event during their occupation.

Tiger Carving – The most famous engraving on the stone is a depiction of a tiger attacking a child. Some believe this represents an actual event where a child was taken by a tiger, while others speculate it symbolizes the fate of a Dutch soldier who was killed by locals.

Strategic Location – Pulau Pangkor was an important location for Dutch traders due to its proximity to tin-rich Perak, and the Batu Bersurat stands as a relic of their attempts to control the region.

Cultural Heritage – Today, the Batu Bersurat Belanda is a recognized historical site and a tourist attraction on Pulau Pangkor, offering a glimpse into Malaysia’s...

The place that I am writing is no work of art or anything that depicts a historical milestone but yet I felt dumpfolded if I don't bring this to the attention of kin travellers. As you can see the name will give you an idea what type of place you're looking at, the Sacred Rock as it's known locally is just a piece of granite rick of the island but the inscription found of the rock is the gem of this place. The marvel that was unscripted here has not been answered since the local villagers noticed this neither strange nor wonderful piece of rock standing alone with a few written letters probably Dutch giving hints of the historical past. Not many knows the historical value nor the history behind it but people there appreciated it's existence and have built a shelter over it to shield it from the rain and the sun. Some says it possessed magical power but I have yet to experience any changes since my visit maybe time will tell. Pay a visit if you not on a rush and probably you can learn something or possibly you're the lucky one to experience the sensation of its magic.Give me a Like if you find this article...

One cannot simply leave Pangkor without having visited this rocksolid attraction. Geologists from all over the world agree, that this may be the most underrated monument in Malaysia, maybe even in Asia. The details of how and why this boulder is here are still unanswered, jet to explore. Just close your eyes as you walk through the crack of the stone and feel the immense power that inherits this ancient place. Feel free to lick the stone to absorb some of its earthen taste. I left the place as a different person as I...

A large rock with a tiger drawing on it. Not far from Dutch Fort. In fact there are many stones like this in this area (Kg Teluk Gedung). No explanation regarding the stone. Sadly the stone is vandalised by stupid people with writings on it.
