1st time went there on 23rd feb 2023 at 11:47pm. Lighting make it more attractive & awesome. Though fell a little bit scary and spooky. That time is very silent, guard wasn't there. This Royal palace is known by Malaysian thru Adabi Curry advertisement. Regarding local people the shooting just use backdrop look a like it, because permission to shooting inside The Royal Palace is not Granted by Palace Management. There is many more stories about it. Free ample park & entry. Too many nice and hostorical building around Kuala Kangsar. Opposite this palace there is restaurant sell nasi lemak lemak and others menu, staff knows a lot of historical stories, just ask it for your own knowledge. 2nd visit 2nd of June 23

Istana Kenangan, it really catches your eye with its amazing interior and exterior, but honestly, it can be a bit of a letdown for tourists because they don’t have much to show inside. Surprisingly, there’s no entry fee, which is nice, but I bet most of us would happily chip in if they had a bigger collection of historical stuff to check out. The best part, though, is the cozy kopitiam just nearby. The local folks there are super friendly, and it gives you a real taste of our culture. It’s like a little hidden gem in the midst of the somewhat underwhelming surroundings.

This small traditional palace is one of the most beautiful and well kept structures in Kuala Kangsar. Built entirely without nails, it reflects the mastery and skills of a people, rich in their cultures and heritage. "Istana Kenangan" as it is known, is now a museum piece. A great place to visit for everyone who appreciates the beauty and many cultures of beautiful Malaysia! Visitors should not litter or touch any artefacts on display. Keep the place clean and tidy for others to enjoy and explore the splendor what this palace has to offer. Terima Kasih!
