Pusat Rekreasi Air / Lake Recreation Centre, Putrajaya — Attraction in Putrajaya

We went there around 11am Sunday wanted to try stand up paddle. Just about 6km away from Palace of Justice where we normally park our car for running.

Upon arrival at the counter, we just have to pay for the activity we choose together with rental of locker for our bags.

Stand up paddle RM10/hour on Weekday RM15/hour on weekend

Next to the lockers, there is a shoes rack for you to put your shoes too. After that just walk to the end after shoe racks to sign the indemnity forms, wear life jackets, collect your board and proceed to the lake.

The water is considered clean and there are fishes too. I really do not enjoy the rocky foot massage walking towards the lake 😂😂😂

I find the current of the lake water is strong as you can see the mosses move quite fast on top of the water. It’s really not easy to maneuver the board around the lake. Especially when I stop paddling for taking photos, the current will bring my board away from my original place 😂😂😂 we were blessed with good weather, hence we enjoy our paddling there.

Toilet… in ladies, there are 2 WC and 2 shower rooms only. I find it not enough if a lot of people went together especially shower room which normally will take longer time. Hanger is a available in the shower room but best to bring in plastic bag or dry bag to keep ur clothes as shower head is quite high hence the water might splash to everywhere when you shower 😅😅😅

Overall, we enjoy our SUP there. They have other activities like single canoe, double canoe, paddle boat for 4 adults and 1 child. Parking is free. Toilet and shower...

Went here as early as 8.00am to avoid crowd on a public holiday and it was a good move. Took the kids for a paddle boat ride (4 pax). The counter staff was very friendly and informative. She knows her products and knows what to suggest to us. We made payment swiftly and went to get our gears. The staff at the gears booth was very polite, greeted us properly and got our jacket sizes without issues and quite quickly. They gave us a form to fill up, very clear instructions and rules. We just wished that they would include PA insurance in future for all the customers - just in case 😅 they explained well and showed us the way to the boats. The staff at the boat was very friendly, polite, helpful, and informative. He explained to us patiently and informed us our timing, and paddle zone in a decent manner. I guess the only complain i would have is the bicycle rental price. They are actually quite expensive for a public park like this (and all parks in Putrajaya). Thank you Perbadanan Putrajaya. This is one of the best lake recreation centers in Selangor and Putrajaya. The scenery is stunning, offering a variety of water recreation activities perfect for family fun. I usually come here for boating or fishing. I love visiting on weekdays when it's quieter and more peaceful, with fewer people around.

The fishing rate here is about RM15 to RM20 per day, which is quite reasonable. According to local feedback, bait fishing works best, attracting a variety of native Malaysian freshwater species.
