Went there with friends as a part of my checklist. Drove from kuching for 2 hours plus. Known to the people as the starting point 0.0km of the Pan Borneo Highway Project, the place has been transformed quickly as a place of attraction. But, currently, to get here, you'll need to cross by "Pain Borneo" to get into "Pan Borneo". Journey to here are such a pain with the bad road conditions (luckily i get used to what i had in my workplace at tatau and bintulu) and only the first 30++km from the 0.0km of the project are in good condition. Scenary are beauty. There are some stalls sells snacking foods if you are feeling hungry and atv for rent (idk how much though as i dun try it then). Read moreCool interesting place, it's located almost at the farest point towards west that we can reach in Sarawak. The beach is clean, fresh air, and having its see-through water based (although isn‘t as crystal clear as in Pulau Tioman)
The sea bed is not steep, thus it is very suitable for children to enjoy playing at the beach.
We stayed in a homestay in Teluk Melanoma that cost rm100/room. There is not much stalls and food choice available, you may bring some seafoods and stuff to have your own BBQ.
And there is one secret mission i recommend for you to explore, the Indonesia-Malaysia Boarder. See if you able to locate it!...
Read morealmost 2.5hrs journey from Kuching the road towards here is in very bad condition due to ongoing pan borneo, but the last leg of journey from sematan is the new road which is good free entrance, very packed with people with very little shade available basic facilities eg. public restroom, public shower, surau is not available, except for toilet by the nearest guesthouse. beach is clean, dustbin available & small stalls around.
