Buddha's Triple celebration: Birth(Lumbini, 🇳🇵), Enlightenment(Bodhgaya, 🇮🇳) & Maha Parinibanna(Kushinara, 🇮🇳) 2565 years ago. Avoid negative action & Purify your mind, observe 5 precepts & gain Enlightenment via Noble Eight Fold Path. Fo Guang Shan has a host of activities on eve & tomorrow. A photo exhibition of Buddhist sculptures among SWAT valley etc Nuns visits in Pakistan. Pay your respect by lighting a candle denoting light (illuminating the world & observing life impermanence)@ Main hall is the middle building between the exhibition & small public eatery. Non-removal of shoes to allow smooth flow of paying respect & "bathing little Buddha" inside air cond main prayer hall. Adjourned to canopy opposite main hall for concert & activity. Ad journey to children & 🇹🇼 international artist cat/modern drawings exhibitions. 3rd-floor houses Buddha relics, non-photography allowed & an opportunity to donate rm3k to place your/fly/IMO @ base of a Transparent Traditional Chinese Pagoda. Hungry? Adjourned to coupon payment for a variety of vegetarian food or bring home dry food in Charity stores. Walk around to enjoy if you can find a quiet place to experience your quiet mind. Lots of parking @ side road after FGS main entrance. Real on...

A visit to Dong Zen Temple for the New Year has become a tradition for many locals. Dong Zen Temple presented Buddha wall paintings from Dun Huang in year 2008, as well as many innovative, colorful and unique floats to mesmerize thousands of tourists. The statues of the 18 Arhat gaze upon you with expressions ranging from smiles to anger as you step into the temple grounds. Hundreds of flora and fauna grow in the garden, and 33 adorable śrāmanera can be found hidden among the bed of flowers. The temple is well-known for its elaborate Lantern and Flora Festival, a kaleidoscope of digital lights, lanterns and flotillas that illuminate the temple grounds during the annual Chinese New Year celebrations, which last 15 days. Huge Chinese temple in Jenjarom area, which also attracts visitors from around. This temple is famous with their decorations during Chinese New Year celebrations. They have all kind of decorations around the temple, and it is lighted up at nighttime.

The temple is quite amazing especially it is providing all kind of services such as Buddhist teaching & education, food canteen, praying, etc. The temple is clean and well maintained. You will feel relax, calm when in the temple. Quite spirituous place.

The staffs here is friendly, helpful, kind and polite. They will guide you if you need any assistance on the praying sequence, etc. They even mobilized Rela to guide the traffic & Medic staffs to be standby during peak seasons. They provide ample car parks beside the temple, which is very convenient.

The place is quite nice to have a leisurely walk during the evening and nighttime. Of course, huge crowd especially during Chinese New Year but it is all managed in an orderly manner. No entry fee but you are free to donate to the cause.

Dong Zen Temple is located in Jenjarom within the Kuala Langat district of Selangor state. Dong Zen Temple is founded by Venerable Master Hsing Yun in 1994 and serves as the headquarters of Fo Guang Shan Malaysia. Literally translated in Chinese, “Dong” means “East” and “Zen” means “The tranquil mind”. As a phrase, it means “the tranquil mind in the east”, representing the hub of a Buddhist centre in the South East Region. Mdm. Khenh Kian Hong (1934-2005) first donated 2 acres of land to FGS Buddhist Monastery for building of a temple in Malaysia. Later, with the help of Mdm. Khenh, the neighbouring owners agreed to sell their land to FGS. The founder of FGS, Ven. Master Hsing Yun, personally officiated the development ceremony on 24 November 1989, it was developed in 1994 and commenced usage in 1996. Now the temple has created a new avenue for tourism and it also acts as an important cultural and educational center. It’s worth visiting this temple especially during the Chinese New Year. A lot of decorations, lighting and mesmerising.
