Visited this restaurant around 11 PM and ordered the dried and soup-based Bak Kut Teh, Hong Bak with sea cucumber, a vegetable dish, and a bitter gourd chicken soup. While the portion sizes were a bit small (the combined food, meant for 5-7 people, was just enough for the 4 of us), the overall taste was decent.
One unique highlight of this restaurant is its use of sea cucumber in dishes like Bak Kut Teh and Hong Bak. I particularly enjoyed the texture of the sea cucumber, which was thick and satisfying. Nevertheless, the boss is very generous in topping up the soup whenever requested. The portions are generous, including the pork meat.
The taste of the dry Bak Kut Teh is lacking, even though there's a generous amount of dried squid in the cooking, the fragrance/flavor of the dried squid is not evident. Portion-wise, it's again generous. The Fried Sayur Manis tastes bland.
Staff is friendly and helpful. Prices are also...
