This museum was quite close to the Langat River. Right at the gate was an old armoured personnel carrier. Another armoured carrier was visible upon entering the gate. We sat on the seats and then got to the back of the vehicle and took some photos as if we were soldiers. On the right of the gate was a granite mill stone for grinding sugar cane. It was found in istana Bandar and is believed to be used in the 18th century.
Hardly anyone visits or knows about this small museum in a secluded area. Built in 1875. Used to be a British police station with a prison
The display wall boards within the museum were not well designed with sloping angles. We had to bend and strain our necks to read. A staircase led to another floor where there were more posters.
In the courtyard of the museum, there was an old well. A plaque by the well stated “This well was found during archeological work in 2003 and has a circumference of 3.72 meters and 2.4 meters deep. This well was probably used by the police personnel to wash their uniforms as buttons for the uniform were found around the area. According to residents of the Jugra area, this well is believed to have existed before the arrival of the English and it had never dried even though there was a drought in the area.”
The museum was originally an old police station and housed a prison which served its purpose until 1890, when the Pudu Prison was built. It functioned as a police station until the Selangor administrative centre was moved to Klang in late 19th century.
The police station was constructed in 1875 by Captain Harry Charles Syers, a British police officer, using stones (granite) found in the area. The stones were cut into squares to form a strong and solid building structure. The upper storey was used as the court and ground floor as the prison. Admission Fee:...

There's 2 floors you can roam around. A lot of history about surrounding areas like Banting, Jugra and Klang.
It's an old police station turned into a museum.
They got spaces like old holding cell and bullets storage (need to walk the stone stairs a bit).
There's also remnants of ceramics excavated displayed on the exhibition. Really exciting to see tea sets and old ceramic bottles!!
I like it 😁
The exhibits are fully air-conditioned so it's nice.
